Nanako's POV

"OK we have everything we needed right?"
I say as Kairo nods a bit
Kairo and Haiko were my two male friends that grouped together with me at the start of the apocalypse, as we were walking Kairo stopped infront of me
"Hm?"

Kairo:"Shh.."

I listened closely as I could faintly hear someone crying, we walked forward and I saw a girl...crying..she was covered in blood and as I walked closer I noticed the bite marks.. and her dull eyes.. I didn't care..something didn't feel right.. I tried walking closer before Haiko grabbed my arm

Haiko:"Are you crazy? That's a zombie let's go! "

I pulled my arm away , ignoring him and I walked over to her, I crouched down

"Hey?.."

She looked at me , that's when I noticed the tears, I took out a flashlight

"Can I check something?.."

The girl seemed puzzled...and seemed to zone out a bit but she nodded after a while , I took the flashlight up to her eye and aimed it at it , her pupils dilated..

"You're not fully infected?...how?.."

The girl opened her mouth and tried to speak but teared up a bit when she couldn't

I put my hand on her shoulder

"It's alright...I know it's hard..you dont have to speak okay?.."

She teared up again

Kairo:" Let's go Nanako."

"No wait...do you eat human brains?..."

She tilted her head a bit , she seemed like a sweet girl.. she shook her head a bit , I took that as a sign that she didn't feel the need to .

I looked over at Kairo and Haiko

Haiko:" No. "

Kairo shook his head

"Oh come on...if she tries to kill anyone we can get rid of her right?... this must be so hard for her....let's at least just give her a place to stay?.."

The girl nodded a bit

After a bit of convincing they finally agreed, I took the girls hand and walked with her back to our base , I kept glancing at her on our way there... I hate to admit it but I blushed a bit ...she was attractive..

I looked over at the kind girl that was helping me, we made eye contact for a second before she quickly looked away

I turned my head as well , flustered as I blushed a bit
