(I used the scene from the 355 movie - When Nick and Mace are talking about their undercover work and just to know this book is mostly like the movie just with another love interest.)

Brooke: A married couple? You're joking.

Brooke rolled your eyes at Nick. Brooke and Nick were in Greece, undercover for a mob boss trafficking woman. Nick's been her best friend since college, and luckily you guys have been partners since joining the CIA.

Nick: I most certainly am not, sweets.

Brooke: Stop with the nickname please.

Nick: I will never.

He smirked at you placing a gold band in the palm of my hand.

Nick: Now try this on, pick it out me.

He grinned at me. Brooke slipped the shiny jewelry on my ring finger.

Brooke: Hmm. It'll do.

Brooke settled in the wooden chair, staring at the map spread out on the table.

Nick: This is where they're keeping the girls.

Nick pointed at the map.

Nick: According to our connection they'll be a trade at this location.

He trailed off, dragging his finger across the map.

(As he pressed onto Brooke feeling his hard dick Brooke smiles and bites on her lip.)

Brooke: And our identities?

You raised an eyebrow at him.

Nick: David and Vanessa Johnson. Celebrating our 1-year anniversary.

Nick lifted two passports and ID's.

Nick: Shall we practice being a married couple madly in love?

He wiggled his eyebrows at you, grabbing your hand and pulling you out of the chair, his hands settling on your hips.

Brooke: Oh please.

Brooke pushed his chest lightly. He chuckled with his hands still firm on your hips holding you in place.

Nick: Just shut up for one second.

He whispered, his expression changing from a lighthearted tease to a more serious tone. You stared into his eyes trying to read him. One hand moved from your hip, moving to your cheek. His thumb stroked it slowly, his lips meeting yours. The kiss was soft and sweet. He pulled away briefly, only to push his lips back onto yours, opening his mouth and swiping his tongue across your bottom lip. It was odd not being used to kissing your best friend. Yet you found it so easy to open your mouth and let his tongue slide against yours.

Nick: See. wasn't too bad, was it?

He pulled away; a smirk very evident on his face. Brooke chuckled softly shaking your head.

Brooke: Not too bad, Fowler.

Brooke wiggled out of his grip and grabbed a change of clothes before heading to the bathroom to get ready for the night. Tomorrow was the biggest day of her life and she needed rest was most definitely.
