"Welcome to Crystal City Daycare." A woman welcomed with a wide smile. "Ah, hello, I'm here to drop off my daughter." Orion said with a smile. Purple-Haze looked up at the woman, her sapphire eyes shinning just like sapphires.

"I see, may I say, she's adorable. And what's your name?" The woman asked her. "Purple-Haze, Ma'am." Purple-Haze answered. Orion chuckled, "She won't be a problem, she's a nice girl."

The woman nodded and gave him a clipboard. "Okay then, sign here." Orion nodded and signed Purple-Haze in. He gave the clipboard back and kissed his daughter's head. "Goodbye, 'Haze, be good."

Purple-Haze squeezed him tightly and nodded. Orion let go and left. The woman extended her hand for the child, "Let's go with the other kids then." She said. Purple-Haze smiled and wrapped her small fingers around Ratchet's index finger.

"My name is Ratchet, I hope we can be friends." The woman kindly introduced herself. She seemed to be good at this. "Your eyes are pretty." Purple-Haze said softly. "Thank you, yours too."

"Everyone, this is Purple-Haze, I hope you can be friends with her." Ratchet introduced to the other small children. Purple-Haze looked at the kids. Then her eyes landed on two girls, one with white hair and sky blue hair.

She hid behind Ratchet.

Ratchet giggled. "Oh my, please, don't be shy. I know it's hard to get used to new faces, but I promise that you'll make friends." She extended her hand again. "I promise."

Her voice was soft, her eyes filled with warmth. Purple-Haze breathed in and out. She moved away from behind Ratchet and waved. "Go on, play with them. I'll be right here if you need anything."

The child nodded and ran over to the girls. The two looked up at her from the building blocks and grinned. "Hello!" The blue haired girl greeted. "Hello." Purple-Haze greeted also.

"What's your name? Mines Sky! Or Sky-Blue, that's what my Mommy calls me!" Sky said, she must be the twin with more energy. The other girl smiled, "And I'm Cloud, I'm her 1 minute older sister."

She seemed more mature than her sister. "I'm Purple-Haze." The girl sat down between then and started playing with the blocks. "Purple-Haze? Pretty! It's pretty! Like your hair!" Sky shouted with so much energy. Purple-Haze envied her energy.

"Thank you...my father says that my hair reminds him of my mother..." Purple-Haze said softly. She never met her mother. She honestly has never met anymore of her family. "What is your mom like?!" Sky asked. "He said that she was pretty, kind, and smart."

"Oooo! I never met my mom or dad!"

"But you said..." did she hear her wrong? "Oh! Well, my Mommy is not mine. My real one died with my Daddy in a car crash." Sky explained. "Oh no..." Purple-Haze patted her shoulder and hummed. "Well, I hope your Mommy now is great."

"She is! She's right over there!" Sky pointed at Ratchet who was talking to two boys who seemed to have been fighting. "Oh! Well your mom is pretty. Very pretty."

"She is! She is!" Sky nodded very frantically. Cloud laughed. The girls continued talking the whole day.

"Purple-Haze, your father is here to pick you up!" Ratchet called for her. Purple-Haze's head perked up and she stood up. She ran over to Ratchet and grabbed her index finger. They walked to the front of the daycare to where Orion was standing.

"Hey, Kiddo!" Orion opened his arms wide for a hug. The girl ran over and hugged her father tightly. "Were you good?" He asked. "Very!" Orion looked at Ratchet for an answer. Ratchet smiled. "Yes, she was good and made friends with my daughters."

"That's good!" Orion chuckled and signed her out. "Say goodbye, Purple-Haze." Orion told her daughter. "Bye-bye, Ms. Ratchet." Purple-Haze said. Ratchet waved goodbye, "Bye-bye."

They left the building. "How was the day?"

"It was fun! I had so much fun! I made friends, Ms. Ratchet gave us snacks and then we played more, and then you came back!" Purple-Haze told him. "I see, I see. Was Ms. Ratchet nice?"

"Very! She's pretty and nice! She's like what you've told me about my mom." Purple-Haze said with a smile. Orion sadly smiled at her, "I guess you're right. She is pretty...just like your mother." Orion reached for his keys and opened the door of their apartment.

"Take off your shoes and head to the bathroom for a bath." Orion told her. "Got it, Daddy!" Purple-Haze took off her shoes and ran to the bathroom. Orion placed his messenger bag down and took off his shoes.

He sighed and went to grab his daughter's towel. "That girl was pretty..." Orion looked at a photo on the wall. "Just like Elita..." Orion looked down at the floor. "DADDY! THERE'S A SPIDER!!!" Purple-Haze screamed.

Orion laughed, "I'm coming, I'm coming!"

Elita is dead in this AU and Orion is in mourning. No, Purple-Haze isn't his, she had the child before her and Orion met. But the father was never there, so when she met Orion he was like a father to Purple-Haze.

And then shit happened and Elita died. Only with the memory of her mother in her daughter.
