Backstory -

Okay, so...Monami thinks Karan is nice and everything but for her he's married...So even if he made slight place in her heart... She'll not accept it, because for her he has a wife and a child already...✨

For Karan, though he's single...But because he has baby, he never really thought of love or anything... For him baby has always been enough...✨

Now this particular chapter will be a turning point for them...The revelation awaits...♥️

So, with a coffee in hand Karan sits near baby while Monami was sitting on the opp. side... Sipping on the coffee, she could see frames on the side table...One had karan and baby...but other one was of a couple, then a small baby - that probably is soumya only...♥️

She looks at them and shifts her gaze back to Karan...✨

Monami - Umm...Ek baat puchu aapse??

Karan - (While sipping on his coffee) Hanji...Sure

Monami - Umm... Aapki wife kaha h?? Iski mom?? 

Suddenly Karan's expressions changed and Monami noticed that,

Monami - I...I mean uss din bhi aap akele aaye the...Aaj bhi aap yaha akele hai

Karan - Vo actually

Monami - You can totally not answer, if you don't want to

Karan - Nhi actually... She's not here, she's no more

Monami - I'm...I'm soo sorry for your wife

Karan - Nooo...I mean, not my wife...My brother's wife... Actually baby is my brother's and my bhabhi's daughter

His voice cracked...

Monami - Oh okay

Karan - Yeah...I mean mere bhai shaheed ho gye the when soumya was 8 months old...And bhabhi too passed away shortly after, when she was around 1yr old...She couldn't take it...So in months only, we lost them both...Bhaiya toh yaad bhi ni honge issey or Bhabhi shyd ho...But I never asked, actually kabhi himmat hi ni hui... Usne humesha se mujhe hi Papa bola...And I too try ki ussey life mein kabhi bhi kisi cheez ki kami na ho, I try to be a good dad to her ♥️

Monami could clearly see tears in his eyes...He took a deep breath, rubbing his hand on his thighs and took a sip of coffee...🥺

Monami - I'm really sorry...I shouldn't have asked...I'm soo sorry

Karan - No...That's okay... Aapki koi galti ni hai

He faked a smile...

Monami - So, soumya is not ur daughter

Karan smiled a little hearing her...

Karan - No...She is my daughter

Monami - I mean...I didn't mean it that way

Karan - No you're right...She's not...But she also is...Mujhe ussey zyada kuch bhi pyaara ni hai iss life mein... She's the only reason I'm still breathing, unki last nishaani hai vo mere pass...Hum dono ek dusre ke liye in short sab kuch hai

Monami smiled a little, she too has tears in her eyes by now...🥺♥️

Monami - You're a good dad ♥️

Karan just smiled and sipped on his coffee, while Monami too smiled a little and finished her coffee...✨

After this conversation, a lot has changed between the two of them...Earlier Monami maintained her distance for him because she thought he's married...But, he's not...For Karan too, it's the first time, he has told someone the truth about soumya...For everyone she's his daughter only...Only ppl close to him, knows the whole truth...♥️

Karan was covering soumya in a blanket in her sleep...Monami smiled a little as she looked at the both of them...✨

The rain has already stopped, baaton baaton mein time ho chuka hai 2:30am...✨

Monami - Umm...I think I should leave now

Karan looked outside, the rain stopped...Then he looked at his watch, it's late...

Karan - Umm, yeah okay...I'll drop u

Then he looked at baby who was sleeping...

Monami - No...no...pls... it's okay...I have my car, I'll go

Karan - Actually it's really late...Ye area bhi bilkul hi sanaat ho jaata hai raat ko...It's okay I'll drop u

But then again he looks at baby...

Monami - Dekhiye baby bhi so rhi hai...Aap rehne dijiye

Karan - Umm...If you don't mind...You can stay here

Monami - Sorry??

Karan - I...I mean...You can stay here thodi der...Iss tym akele jaana is really not safe, mujhe pta hai aaj kal yaha kaa...it's really not safe... Please

Monami - But

Karan - See you can stay only if your comfortable... Kuch ghnte ki baat hai, 5-5:30 subhah ho jaygi...Aap chale jaana...But for now pls...Room hai dusra, u can comfortably be there kuch der

Monami - Umm...Okay

Karan - Grt...Come I'll show you the room

He took her to baby's room...♥️

Karan - Here 

Monami looked around and smiled seeing all the soft toys in the room...

Monami - Ye baby ka room hai??

Karan - Haha yeah...Ussi ka room hai, but vo yaha soti ni hai...Soti meri pass hi hai...Kabhi vo mere bed pe, kabhi mein yaha uske bed pe 🙈😅😂

Monami smiled and nodded...♥️

Monami - Thank u 

Karan - No problem...Kuch bhi chahiye ho toh aap bta dena

Monami nodded and both of them exchanged formal but genuine smiles...♥️

It's 3:30, 

Monami was tossing in bed, unable to sleep...She got up and decided to go out...She quietly went out and walked upto Karan's room again...♥️

A sweet smile crept on her face...Now this is what she saw...✨

Karan was sleeping on the edge of the bed near baby, keeping his head near her head while hugging her...Baby's face was totally buried in his chest...And her arms wrapped around him too...♥️

Monami smiled seeing the cutest father - daughter duo...✨

But Karan was literally sleeping on the edge... Without blanket, with his feet hanging out from bed, slippers still on like he was just sitting there and eventually he dozzed off...🙈♥️

Monami tip toed her way in his room...She slowly removed his slippers, from her touch...He moved his feet up on the bed...♥️

Monami - There you go ☺️

She opened a blanket for him and covered him nicely in blanket...Tucking the blanket on his sides...✨

Monami - Thoda dhyan apna bhi rakhlia karo ♥️

She just smiled a little seeing the both of them and then eventually she went back to Her...Sorry... Baby's room...😉♥️
