Beach Mission Madness

Erza scans the missions currently on the job board looking for one that will catch her eye. The team wanted to take a job and it was her turn to pick. She frowns as she looks at them all till a pretty high reward one caught her eye. She reads over it:

"Help us! A large group of Land Whales are terrorizing beach goers at Akane Beach. Minimum team size of 6 people required as the herd is massive in numbers. Reward: 600,000J and free lodging during the mission"

This one seemed promising but they needed one extra member for this mission. Erza thinks for a moment and decides to ask Juvia. They would be near water which is an advantage and she got along well with everyone in the team. She had made close friendships with all team Natsu members. Even Gray had started warming up to her more lately, now that she had calmed down a bit in her affections of course.

Erza approached Juvia, who was sitting at the bar with Lucy and Cana. "Hey Juvia, How would you like to go on a mission with our team?" She said once she reached them. Lucy and Cana encouraged her to agree.

"Juvia would love to but will that be okay with the rest of the team?" She asked with a cautious glance over at Gray.

"I'm sure everyone would love it if you joined us. It's gonna be at Akane Beach. Isn't that where we met and you fought with us?" Erza assures with a smile.

Juvia agrees and Erza gets the mission approved with Mira and gathers the rest of the team together to brief them on the
mission.

"I found a good one that needs 6 mages. Luckily for us, I got Juvia to agree to join us for this one. We just have to get rid of some land whales that have been terrorizing the beach goers at Akane. They do provide free lodgings for the team for a day or two during the mission if it takes that long in addition to the reward money. That being said I expect you all to be on your best behavior. Now go pack and meet at the train station in 2 hours." She tells them before heading off to pack.

Everyone else scatters to their respective houses to pack up. Most of the team was excited for this mission. Gray felt a bit flustered knowing Juvia would be coming along. He had recently sorted out his feelings for the water mage but wasn't ready to focus on that. He had a suspicion that she already knew how he felt, because she had mellowed out a lot lately.

Lucy groaned in frustration as her packing was interrupted by Happy. The poor exceed had a fight with Natsu and decided to stay with Lucy till they went on the mission. She didn't mind much except for the fact that he kept messing with things. Despite that happening, she didn't have the heart to make him leave. She has a soft spot for the little exceed. Especially when he acted like the cat that he was and did things like lay in her lap so she could pet him.

The time passed quickly and everyone met up at the train station. Natsu was already complaining about having to take the train. Wendy looked a little green too but she at least wasn't whining. Erza got tired of it and knocked him out when the train pulled up so she could drag him on board.

Juvia sat next to Lucy and Wendy instead of Gray which surprised him. He was across the aisle from her instead with Erza and the unconscious Natsu. He was kinda glad Erza knocked the fire dragon out. He got so annoying on train rides.

Lucy talks to Juvia about her new novel she is working on. Juvia really enjoyed her last one so was looking forward to what else the blonde had in store. This one was more focused on the classical fables especially those based on dragons.
