"Are you kidding...." I said trying not to get too angry. I could hear the hang of guys surrounding him making ohs and ahs in our direction, hitting each other's arms.
"My bad love, let me help you with that..." he said as he grabbed a napkin, never really taking his eyes of my chest. "And if you'd like I could help you out a little more," he smirked, leaving his hand a little too long on the hem of my shirt and his other hand swiftly moved my hair behind my shoulders.
Flustered by his arrogant response, I replied "what??" Pushing his chest, trying create space between us.
"Relax, love. I mean with more towels from the bathroom and light.." He whispered in my ear. He put his hand on the small of my back as he lead me to the restroom. My stomach turned as he locked the door behind him. I don't know why I followed. Before I knew it he grabbed my waist and plopped me on the sink. He started to grab more towels to dry my top and jeans with.
"I owe you a drink," he said as he continued to dab my wet top. I nudged his hand away and took the paper towels from him. I could do it myself. I'm not incapable.
"You owe me nothing," I mumbled "maybe a new top..." As I starred at the big stain at the bottom of it. He got more towels from the dispenser behind me on the wall.
"What's wrong with this one?" He questioned, finally making eye contact with me. His eyes were so green it made me pause. He continued to dab the beer off my pants. I was conscious of his hand on my knee. I grabbed the towels he held again but he got more and continued where he left off, reaching my thigh.
"What's wrong? I don't think this big stain would be considered too fashionable, nor the stench" I continued as he kept his eye contact. It was ínstense. I like being in control, but I couldn't catch my breathe.
His hand was dabbing too close for comfort, close enough to know what he was doing.
As grabbed more towels he leaned in and almost whispered "well since I got you so wet, I guess I can help you get changed to a new one..."
I turned my head and immediately cleared my throat.
*ring, ring, ring*
Saved by the bell. Keeping eye contact with me, he answered his phone. "Ya, I'm in the bathroom, I'll be out in a second....see you soon."
I got up and straightened myself out as I bursted through the door. I don't know what happened but I wasn't sure if I even liked it. He made me uncomfortable, and definitely knew how to push boundaries.
I found Jade on the elevated stage of the bar, waved her hand, signaling for me to come to her. I weaved in and out, being careful of people with drinks.
"Where are our drinks Av?" Jade said confused looking around me like I was hiding them someplace.
"Too crowded," I stated. A bar was not a place to tell a story. I grabbed her hand and found a small opening at the end of the bar.
"Two shots please," I said placing my card on the bar. Jade's nose was in her phone when I turned around.
"Declan and Jeanne are searching for us. They found a table in the back corner" she smiled.
We were handed the shots and we immediately took them. Our walk to the table wasn't long but I could start to feel us both to saunter. Was I that drunk? I think I'm seeing three heads at the table ...one, two...
"Ava, Jade, I'm not sure if you remembered each other because it's been so long but this is my brother, well uh, twin, Harry." Declan said awkwardly.
Realizing I wasn't that drunk, I looked at Harry and he looked at me. The green eyed boy.
"Hi Harry! I'm Jade, so glad we can spend time with you!" She said as she took a seat between Jeanne and Harry.
"Nice to meet you," he nodded to Jade, then winked at me. Didn't anyone else see that?
I stood there frozen. Harry looked at me, and moved the chair on the other side of him for my to take a seat. Do I tell Declan what his brother did? What did he even do?
I took a seat, and crossed my arms, hoping Harry's gaze would be else where especially in front of Declan.
Harry leaned back in his seat and took a sip from his new beer, "So Dec, what have you been showing Jeanne in the city?" Harry put his hand on the back of my chair. I leaned forward trying to avoid his touch.
His twin?!! He's nothing what I remembered him to be like from high school. I hope I look different as well but still. My whirling thoughts stop as I felt his hand wander again. He was twirling my hair behind the chair. He twirled and lightly tugged my curls. Trying not to make a scene with Declan, I turned and continue the conversation, "Has she scene there bridge yet?"
I attempted to act as normal as possible but his hand found my knee again. Keeping eye contact with Jeanne as we continued the conversation, Harry's hand found his way once more higher and higher, making little circles with his thumb. Harry couldn't go any higher when u nearly yelled, "OH!! Who wants another shot?" I nearly started to sprint to the bar before anyone could answer.
"I'll have one," Harry replied.
I gave a fake smile and continued to complete my mission. I found another opening at the busy bar "one shot please," I yelled when hands found my hips.
"What about me?" His low voice replied. With them bar so loud one would have yelled to talk to someone but he was so close, and his voice carried.
"Get your own, Declan's twin," I replied. I turned to him, looking him in them eyes and taking my shit without whining. I guess some people don't change from when they're 16.
He quickly acted at this opportunity and forced my back against the bar, leaving me without an escape.
"One for me as well," he said to the bartender. I was so short compared to him, he was talking to them bartender so easily over my head.
Harry received his shot, tossing his head back dramatically and switching his hand placement from my waist to the bar on either side of me. Leaning in with almost no space between us he whispered, "perhaps this could be fun."
Harry pushed back off the bar, backing away keeping eye contact with me as he made his way to my friends.
