Justin POV

I looked at Marcus who had brought our attention to him. „Asshole" I thought. He had destroyed the beautiful moment with the new girl. But I couldn't blame him. The girl was absolutely gorgeous and it was clear that he only wanted her attention.
M: „So you and your father are new here, right?"
A: „Yeah. Just arrived like an hour ago or so. We're originally from California.
M: „Wow, what a skip. Moving across the whole country. May I ask why?

I could see the discomfort the question brought her as she looked at her feet and stepped from side to side seeming nervous.
„It's a long story" she dodged and then added „and also because of my hobby."
Marcus seemed to have noticed how uncomfortable she felt as well because he stopped asking, although I would really like to know her story.

I can't say why, but this girl fascinates me. And according to the jealous glances Marcus sends us as she turns to me again, he feels the same way.
A: „It was really nice to meet you guys, even under so unfortunate circumstances but I'm gonna go to my room now. I'm really tired. And again I'm really really sorry!"

She gave me last glance with her beautiful brown eyes and a little smile which made my heart melt. I didn't want her to go, but I only said „nice to meet you too and hey, don't be a stranger!"

When Alaia had nearly reached the elevator Marcus called her again: „Alaia! If you want to talk or anything, my shift here ends at 11 every day so you can always just come to the bar."
She simply replied „thanks" before smiling at him thankfully and then entered the elevator.

Now I was the jealous one.

Wait, what did I just think?

I am Justin fucking Davis!

THE Justin Davis!

Women fall for me in rows, and not the other way around.
It's always just one night and then goodbye. No real feelings involved.
But with this girl I,don't know. There was just something about her that made me want to get to know her better and spend time with her.
Gladly, that shouldn't be a problem since we appearently lived in the same house now.

What Justin didn't know yet was that they wouldn't only see each other in the hotel.

Alaia POV

My day ended pretty boring. After the incident with my dad I just ordered some Pizza, ate it in front of the TV while watching Netflix and then went to sleep. I was sure that I would be able to sleep within minutes. But that wasn't the case.
Instead I laid awake and thought about everything in my head, which was A LOT!
Worries about my father, memories of our old home and my friends that made me sad, but also the excitement about trying the new rink tomorrow. Of course I had to think about the two boys. They both seemed quite nice and definitely had new-friends-potential. After thinking about it for a while I also felt like knowing the name „Justin Davis". But I didn't know from where.

The move and the apartment here were quite expensive and although we didn't have any money problems or anything, I noted down „job search" on my mental to-do-list for tomorrow.

~The next morning

Contrary to my fears I had slept quite good in my new bed and stood up perfectly rested at 4am the next morning. Now, that may sound early for some. But for me it was my daily routine for nearly 12 years now. Yes, I started skating with three years, and became professional at the age of 5. By my side I had my mother who also was my coach. But not anymore.
After eating a quick breakfast I put on my training clothes, took my skates and went down to the lobby where I ordered room service for when my dad was awake.
The way to the ice rink was signposted and I found it really quick. I didn't even had to go outside in the cold, as the hotel and the ice centre were connected directly. First Alaia went to the dressing room, changed from trainers to skates, put her bag in a locker and then stepped on the ice.
The feeling was unbelievable every single time. She slowly skated a few rounds, letting her gaze wander around the empty arena.
That was the best part about being on the ice early: the silence and the feeling of total freedom when nobody was watching you.
After warming up, Alaia trained triple and quad jumps and got off the ice 2 hours later, just when the first parents came with their children.

At least that's what Alaia thought.
What she didn't know was that she had been watched the whole time by a certain blonde up high in the stands.
