this is genuinely one if my favorite fan fictions. i cry every time i read it, sometimes i sob haha

basically tommy gets beat up and SBI finds him.

tommy sighed in relief, grateful for his newfound ability to breathe. he quickly hugged his knees to his chest, eager to get out of the man's reach.
tommy backed into a wall.
the man stepped forward and landed more kicks against tommy's stomach and legs. with each pound, tommy winced and gasped. black bruises covered his body.
"please..." tommy pleaded. he wanted it all to end.
the man finally relented slowly. he stepped backwards, checking the sidewalk for anyone who had seen.

-wilbur-
4 days. tommy, wilbur's brother, had been missing for 4 days.
they were the worst 4 days of his life. his brother, his best friend, gone. the only trace was an apology letter; tommy had thought he was a bad friend and that it would be better to leave.
it wasnt.
the whole family felt terrible.

the sleepy bois scanned the street one last time before deciding to retreat to their hotel. tubbo was home, after all, panicking still.
an alleyway they hadn't checked.
wil noticed and walked toward it, not expecting anything.

tommy.

-techno-
a beat up figure sitting in the alleyway wilbur had jjst checked. a normal occurrence for the city, but this one was different.
a familiar slouch, leaning against a wall.
red sleeves. blond hair.

tommy.

techno ran straight into a man, who was leaving the alleyway.
bloody knuckles. rage-covered face. guilt hidden beneath it.
tommy , covered in blood and bruises.

before techno could think any further, he felt himself launching forward. anger coursed through his veins. his fist hit the wall. his other hand grabbed the man's neck.
"no one touches tommy. NO ONE TOUCHES MY BROTHER-"
tech is grip tightened on the evil, malicious man's throat. he wa slowly going unconscious, and for a fair reason. techno wasn't even trying to silence the voices demanding revenge and blood. this man had hurt his brother.
no one hurt tommy.

-wilbur-
as wil realized who this broken, hurt boy was, his heart broke.
he felt it shatter into pieces, right inside his chest.
a flash of anger before he rushed toward tommy. bruises covered his arms and legs. blood was in his hair and dripping to his white shirt. he had his head on his legs and his arms hugging himself.
this poor, sad boy, wil's brother. trying to protect himself. trying to protect his friends by running away.

phil was calling the police.
techno was about to kill the stupid man who hurt tommy, and wil didn't even care.
wil was sitting on his knees next to tommy, tears running down his face and landing on the cold cement.

wil saw phil run over to techno, who released the man when he saw tommy again.

techno sobbed for the second time. he had cried, so loudly, so heartbreaking-ly, when he had found the note. and now, seeing the broken boy who had left it, he felt worse.
wilbur wasn't used to seeing his brother showing any emotion at all; let alone on his knees, on the cold hard cement, punching the ground and crying out, breathing in heavy, ragged gasps. as selfish as wilbur felt, he was scared.
phil had tommy's head in his lap. he was trying to keep tommy's consciousness stable.
phil always thought logically.
techno tried to hide his emotions, tried to be like phil.
wil's emotions got to him before he could think.
tommy always tried to see what everyone else was doing, see if they were alright, before giving in to his feelings.

wilbur was now leaning against the wall, in the same position the three had found tommy. phil could not longer keep in his tears, and was now hugging tommy and crying. techno had stopped punching the ground and was now sitting, looking numb,
tears rolling down his face.
