"Hey!" Yeonjun startles me as I close my locker, "hey" I turn to him.

He smiles, "I don't want to, you know, be a pest but...Homecoming?" He laughs nervously.

I hum, "you really want to go with me? Why?" I shrug.

He laughs a bit, "um, why not?" He responds as we begin to walk, "it's just...out of nowhere" I respond.

"Right" he laughs nodding, "look" he stops in front of me.

I raise my brows, "I always thought you and Soobin were...more than just best friends, so I never said anything" he nods.

"But then he started dating Riso" he finishes, "so?" He smiles.

I smile a bit, "okay, okay fine" I shrug. He lets out a laugh and hugs me a bit.

Everyone in the hall at the time looks in our direction, I force a awkward smile hugging him back.

"I think I should do a homecoming proposal!" He pulls away. I widen my eyes at him.

"Huh, what!? No, no you don't have to do that" I exclaim as he rushes off, "see you in class, Huijin!".

"What was that about?" Soobin walks up to me holding Riso's hand, "I told him yes about Homecoming" I shrug.

"Your going to homecoming with Yeonjun?" Riso asks, I nod "god, I thought I'd have to share a date" she chuckles rolling her eyes.

Ok...

I force a smile humming while Soobin just laughs not taking notice to her rude comment.

Riso shows me a half smile while tilting her head, "hey, I'm going to go to class. See you later" she turns to Soobin.

He nods and smiles then they share a kiss causing me to look away and try to find something else to look at.

"Bye!"

I turn back towards Soobin forcing a smile, "are you happy?" He links arms with me as we begin walking.

I shrug, "he wants to do a homecoming proposal thingy, I told him don't but...you know Yeonjun" I sigh.

He laughs, "relax, I'm sure he won't embarrass you" he teases.

"Yeah, anyways, today is Friday, are we still going to the arcade?"

His smile slowly fades into an awkward grin, "Soobin" I raise my brows at him.

"I kinda sorta promised Riso I'd take her out" he fumbles over his words quickly.

"What? We go to the arcade every other friday, and we didn't go last time because you were out with her"

"I know, I'm sorry, Jinnie" he exclaims. I just sigh pulling my arm from his.

He looks at me with low brows, "have fun" I state then walk into class taking my seat.

I get home kicking off my shoes, "how was school?" My mom asks me putting on her coat.

"It was school. Where are you going?" I respond scanning her outfit, "I have a date" she smiles.

"A date?"

She chuckles, "am I not allowed to date?" She hums, "it's not that, it's just..." I pause.

"You haven't really dated anyone since dad"

"Yeah, we'll...it's time for us to move on with our lives, right?" She pats my shoulder.

I just smile, "no arcade today?" She asks me making my smile fade.
