Inside the vast of darkness and void of light, a prison, known as the realm of the impenetrable stronghold, it is a living barrier so powerful that there is nothing it cannot seal—was a prison made of the final remains of the Buddhist Monk Genshin. It was a living barrier so powerful that there is nothing it cannot seal.
The Prison realm.
A pale woman was chained to the wall in the center of the prison. She knelt with her legs spread wide and her head hung low. Shackles and chains constructed from a rope laced with curse energy and a talisman were attached to the prison's ceilings and walls, exposing the woman's body as if she were a piece of art on display.
A canvas painted red and brushed with blood. Truly creating a piece of art; broken yet beautiful.
Her formerly gleaming, vibrant hair has faded to a dreary, lifeless state, almost pale. Her knees had been scraped and skinned, and her wrists had been injured by her shackles.
Her entire body was covered in wounds, scratches, and grime, with scabs showing due to the years of torment, particularly on her arms.
Her clothing is shabby and couldn't cover her entire body. Her slender wrist and neck were covered in fresh and dried blood, demonstrating how she attempted but failed to injure herself.
Her body continued to bleed since her blood was potent, never healing as the prison absorbed her blood and used it as fuel to strengthen their fortress. While her body became numb, the procedure proceeded, suffering on a regular basis. In this prison, time does not pass—seconds, hours, days—as they turned into weeks and added to years.
Throat dried, lips bruised, and eyes closed. Azumi could only feel her breathing pattern. Even her instincts were shut down inside the prison realm. It was honestly peaceful, no wars, no killings, just me here, stuck and soon to die.
This was it, her crime and punishment.
With shaky fingers, Azumi caressed the ring on her ring finger, feeling the insignia engraved in it; 五条
It brought her memories, good and bad ones.
For the first time in infinity, her lips stretched into a smile. Was that everything I lost? The flood of recollections that washed over her. This was Life's final touch before I was embraced by Death.
The woman didn't know if these were hallucinations produced by years of being too weak, but she felt her prison shaken. She thought, is there someone forcefully trying to enter?
They had already failed at that point. When you try to impose power from the outside, the prison realm reinforces itself even more. That's why it's known as the strongest cage since once you're inside, there's no way you can get out.
Azumi was still unable to move and had to depend only on her senses. Azumi regained her vision, but because of being stuck in this prison for who knows how long, her eyes have been used to the dark. Finally, she became blinded by an unknown light after hearing a thunderous noise.
Inside the infinity; a vast of darkness, a light seeped through, pulling her close.
Her wrists and ankles are being freed from cursed energy-infused shackles, which she had not anticipated. Her entire body started to fall, but her waist was grabbed by a muscular pair of arms before she touched the ground. Her attention was drawn to her by a soft familiar murmur...
"Azumi."
Before she passed out, she saw a pair of azure eyes that took her beyond infinity.
