Rin studiously wiped Kaede's table, happily listening to the gang's wild banter it made her happy to know that they were around her. Inuyasha and Koga were squabbling in the corner while Kin-Gyu cheered them while playing on Shippo's ears and Kirara watched with an awed expression. Kagome and Sango were chatting animatedly about the new herbs they gathered and Jaken was challenging Miyoga to a 'the most loyal man' contest.

"Everyday's the same," Miroku slurred on his tea.

"It's always the same. People fight and make a noise. You serve them food and the old woman over there sits and glares at everyone." he gestured at Kaede who cares at nothing.

"And you?" Sesshomaru said dryly, sitting a few seats away with a drink in his hand, Rin specially made it for him. He seemed bored. But then he always seemed bored.

"Just chilling here, I'm a changed man" Miroku muttered casting him a flirty smile and taking another gulp of his tea.

Rin smiled and went over to Sesshomaru.

"Want another one?" Rin asked happily. Sesshomaru grunted and shook his head, draining his cup. Rin smiled again and took his cup.

"I've been meaning to ask you, Sesshomaru-sama." Rin said with her back to him.

"Hmm," He replied uninterested. It bothered her that he was so disinterested.

"I need to speak to your mother." She began. "I was hoping you would tell me where she is."

"That wasn't asking." Sesshomaru pointed out, a note of amusement in his voice.

"Do you know where is your mother?" Rin rephrased, turning around to face him.

 "Yes." He replied.

"Will you tell me?" Rin asked walking closer to him and leaning on the table. He smiled up at her and her breathing sped unconsciously

"Maybe," Sesshomaru said casually. "What will you give me in return?"

"What will I give you?" Rin repeated taken aback. "What do you..."

"I mean, you can't expect me to give you such important information for nothing." Sesshomaru said with a smile.

"Then don't tell me." Rin smiled in return. "Take me to where your mother is."

"You're still gonna have to give me something in return." Sesshomaru replied resting his elbows on the table.

"Well, if that's how you feel..." Rin said putting her head in her hand. "Maybe I should ask someone else."
