❝you need to give it up had about enough
it's not that hard to see the boy is mine❞

"WELCOME SABRINA, MONET, Ariyana, and Layla up to the stage performing The Boy Is Mine by Brandy & Monica."

After hearing the announ–Scout say our names I said goodbye to the boy I was talking to whose name I honestly don't remember and I glance around and spot Monet, Ari, and Lay each sending me a confused look.

Shit, is there a backstage? I look around trying to find until my eyes spot one. Ok. Cool. There is a backstage. We can make that work. I raise my eyebrow at all three, signaling them to follow me backstage. As I made my way up backstage I could feel all three of them following me.

When we finally reach backstage Monet is the first to talk.

She tightens her jaw, "What the hell, I thought we made it very fucking clear that we weren't singing today. Did someone put a lobotomy in your drink?"

"Calm the fuck down Cheryl Blossom, I already planned this whole thing out so you're doing it regardless," I tell her and Layla looks at me like I've just said the most absurd thing ever.

"Monet, let's just do it for her. Not for us. For her. Like, remember the talent show in 8th grade and you were too scared to dance, and who was there to help? Sabrina. She's always there." Ariyana draws out, smirking a little as Monet's cheeks flush in embarrassment.

"Plus, after whatever that was outside, I could use a breather."

"Totally agree with whatever the hell Ariyana said," Layla says but I can tell her mind is somewhere else. I guess I'm not the only one having boy trouble.

"Fine. I'll do it but you owe me. Big time." Monet replies and I throw my hands over her shoulder and she sends me a small smile in return.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You all are the best friends a girl could have." I babble on until someone comes backstage and I have to do a double-take before realizing it's just the annou–Scout. She looks pretty good. She has on an Akna Damien black mini dress and black open-toed heels. She also dyed her hair from pastel pink to a blond color. It suits her. A lot.
