This is intended to be a collection of stories, loosely based on episodes from the Mahabharata* [KMG and BORI CE translations].

Its focus is the role played by some of its charioteers, as seen through their eyes and the eyes of others around them. Some of them have a supporting and others a key role in the epic - but essentially indeed a vital role - either moving towards or veering away from dharma.

Using creative licence, there will be added flavours, and also a touch of mystery, in some of the stories, to keep the reader guessing and wanting to follow the trail of leads to find out the identity of the charioteers depicted in a cryptic manner.

Be prepared - the terrain of this writing will be uneven - smooth and rough in parts, sometimes slow-paced and sometimes at a gallop!

I do hope the readers will stay the course and not mind being 'taken for a ride' but in the right spirit and direction.

Note to readers: The initial chapters are replicated here [with minor ongoing edits] from the Mahabharata One-Shots book.
