( I recommend to play the song selected for this chapter )
A human heart can be somehow similar to the sea , it has it's storms , it has it's tides and if you look in it's depth you might find it's pearls .
Eternity begins and ends with the ocean's tides , or at least that was the popular opinion, here in the heart of the Chemora province , being a coastal region with several port cities , the sea owned a major role in the citizen life , this not only coming from it being the soure of the main economic activity , but from the many beliefs that came from it .
The sea of Chemora was always there , it witnessed every single event , occupying the same place with it's majestic and spiritual presence .From the mighty sea came a legend willing to ease the ones with troubled minds :
"At each full moon , this sea is granted the power to give hope to the struggling souls, on the condition that their prayers are sent in the form of bottled messages crossing the waters to meet the border where the sky is able to touch the sea"
Standing on the old dock of an abandoned port was a pale figure , who the bright full moon revealed to belong to a young woman , her body hidden under a cloak with the hood falling behind , enough to glimpse a few strands of black and teal hairs .
The fair lady faced the calm water , her gaze never leaving the sea she was about to entrust with her sorrow and hopes all laying on a treasured message she held against her chest with uncertainty .
She finally found it in her heart to fulfill her task , that would be the last thing she'd ever do for him , to honour his memory till the end , joining to the message a silver necklace as an offering , to preserve her precious yet bittersweet memories .
She threw the bottle , watching as it makes it's way through the water .She remained still , her eyes never leaving ,the burden of her heart carried away by the waves , never had she appeared more stunning , the moonlight embracing her ivory skin , as the wind gently floated her hair as in a comforting attempt who unfortunately didn't pay ,failing to prevent her pale cheeks from getting wet , her apparent pain never spoiling the sight of her mesmerising beauty owning the ability to making every fool who would pass in the area falling heart and soul under her spell .
Time's pass with every drop of her tears reaching the infinite ocean , the storm she held inside for so long finally unleashed , she always had been so brave yet she felt weaker than ever ......
She couldn't even fight the memories from haunting her tormented spirit
She was almost reviving it , she was almost able to feel life's bright colours separating themselves from her soul again , the hope extinguishing from her eyes , her blowing in confusion, and shock from the moment the tragic news reached the town and her aching heart turning into a withered flower. When the wind's whispers reached her ears , she recalled the last words that was said at a place she only shared with him , she revived the moment his emerald gaze intensively meeting hers , their hands holding each others in a tenderly desperate way , for an amount of time that could have been eternity for him to finally speak :
" My body may be leaving , but my heart remain in your hands, forever yours to own along with a part of my soul , they'll do what my legs can't anymore , following the path that leads to you , until we meet again "
As he bent over , gently pressing his lips to the back of her hands , she could feel her fingers getting wet only noticing he had been crying , her heart sank as she held him close , pushing away the unavoidable separation , promising that she would wait for him , she would wait until they reunite under the same sky .
