Kelsey (The New Kid) x Female Reader

thank you to my friend maggie for making me write this, anyway, let's get on with it.

Y/N and Devon sat down in class. Besides Mick, Y/N had always been best friends with Devon. Devon had never had a lot of friends. He did when he was younger, like really really younger. They all left him when he started to get all upset and angry about his parent's divorce, he started to yell at all of them and even got into a fight with one of them. The only one who stayed was Y/N. She never made fun of him for not having a dad. She never made of him for having two last names. Honestly, Y/N L/N, Devon Blaine-Marks, and Mick Callahan were the most unperfect best friends ever, but they didn't care. "Hey, guys! Look!" Mick said, walking towards Devon and Y/N, followed by a blonde kid. "Who's that?" Y/N asked, looking at the blonde boy behind Mick. "This is Kelsey," Mick explained, "he's new, he just moved here," Well duh, Y/N thought. Mick started explaining Kelsey's dad's job. "Okay," Devon said, not knowing what to say about the comment. Kelsey smiled. Why did it make Y/N feel good? Why did she feel her face turning red? Did she like Kelsey? Oh, God. She saw him three minutes ago and she already wants to get married to the boy. Kelsey looked at Y/N and waved with his smile. Y/N smiled back and waved. Oh my God, he's so... Y/N started to think, but her thoughts were interrupted by Mick's announcement. "I invited Kelsey to sit with us at lunch," Mick said, proud of his good deed. "I appreciate the offer!" Kelsey said, smiling his common smile that affected Y/N so much. Y/N was happy that Mick invited Kelsey to eat lunch with them. It was often just Mick, Devon, and Y/N. Y/N doubted Kelsey actually wanted to eat lunch with them, and she heavily doubted that he was actually going to.

But he did. All four of them sat leaning against a rock by the flag poles. Y/N accidentally "forgot" to bring her lunch, but it's pretty clear that she didn't want Kelsey to see her eat. She listened to the three boys talk as she sat there thinking how hungry she was. Then she felt a tap on her shoulder. She forgot Kelsey sat next to her. She looked at Kelsey who was looking at her. "You didn't bring your lunch, Y/N. Want my sandwich? I didn't eat it, do you want it?" Kelsey asked, holding out a chicken salad sandwich for Y/N. "Uh, sure. Thank you, Kelsey," She said, taking a bite out of it. Her stomach had butterflies, she thought she might actually be able to burp one up. "Anytime," Kelsey said, giving Y/N a soft smile. Kelsey ate the yogurt that he had as Y/N kept on eating his, wait no, her sandwich that Kelsey gave to her.  Devon turned to Mick. "They like each other, no doubt about it," Devon whispered. "Agreed," Mick whispered, and they both turned to look at the two new friends, (and/or maybe even soon-to-be lovers) laugh at each other's jokes and each their lunch together. They're gonna date, Mick and Devon were gonna make sure of it.
