Not bothered by the moonlight
I stood in the dark
Observed as you jumped silently
Did a pirouette on the tip of your toes

But you would not let an eye observe your form
You took note of me
Saw me standing in the dark
You extended your hand so gentle
Begging me to inch closer
And as i did
I was apalled by my own stupidity
I could not amount to your beauty
Your posture and your elegance
I could do nothing but run

Which had me so enthralled
And one night you asked
Your voice gentle as the silk on your body
"Monsieur would you play for me?"
Your voice asked so shyly
"Oui madame"
I answered as i sat down by the piano
You waited so sweetly for me to begin
Got ready as i calmed the fire within
Every night for so many years
Had i but imagined the melody in my head
But now finally
