Fanfic of FengQi (part 1)

If I knock thrice, would you appear in front of me?
Jan 2022 Cheng Du, Sichuan province.
Chinese New Year is still on going, she just travel back home. Yuqi spends her time tirelessly filming drama upon drama. She is so tired and lay down on her bed at her hometown. She miss this feeling, the comfort of home. But she only has one week to spend with her family though. Yuqi look at her phone, it is on silent, but it keep blinking. Her manager and team has prepare her schedule and post for her Weibo and other social media. Two of her drama was airing, Memory of Encaustic tile with Lin Yi and Mirror A Tale of Twin Cities with Feng ge... Feng Ge, Li Yifeng. Thinking about this name, her heart jump a little bit. Her smile appear on her face. It's been almost 2 years that she hasn't meet him in person. After Mirror drama wrapped up the filming, they parted way, the group chat for them is silent. She knew that everyone is busy with their schedule, she herself just finished her filming with 2 project at Hengdian. Being an actress is not easy. She feel like she lose time to care about herself and her feeling.
On set (flashback)
<Yuqi Xiao Jie!> he called her, he dress in Su Mo costume, blue from head to toe. He comes to sit next to her and take away her script from her hand.
<Eh~ I haven't memorized all of the line yet give me back> she demands but she already know the result, unless she chat with him, he would never give her back the script. She sigh, he victoriously smile.
<Today the weather is hot and dry, are you thirsty?> he gave her a bottle of water. She look at him and at the water and look at another bottle in his hand.
<why you gave me water, and you keep milk for yourself?> she asked, he puts the bottle in her hand and open his milk.
<You said, you prefer water, so I gave you water...> she never told him, why did he know? She keep staring at him, he drink his milk and smile.
<Smart people read,... and remember...> She realize that he read her interview, Yuqi tries to act normal and drink the water.
<Thank you!> she said awkwardly and not dare to look at him. Li Yifeng, the name make her nervous since she knew that she will be acting as his lover in this drama. She didn't know what to expect at first. She used to watch some of his drama and listen to his music back when she was an extra. Because he comes from Chengdu which is her hometown, she follow him a bit. Back at the day she was an extra, he is already famous. She first met him on the reading table. He wearing a white Tee with pair of jeans and a blue hat. His handsome aura flow in the room.
<This one supposed to be Bai Ying?> he asked the screen writer, they nod. Holy holy... he notice her...! She pretend to read her script and ignore him completely.
<Chen Yuqi?!> upon hearing him call her, she open her eyes and look at him directly. She act normal.
<Yes,... I am> She smiles and stand up. He look her from head to toe and smirk...
<huh! I thought you look more like a boy than this> Yuqi stunned while heard his words. She just stood there and look at him.
(End of flashback)
She look at the message in the mirror group, the last was his. The online reunion was the only time that she could interact with him. His last message was <good luck with your project> many of the co-stars in Mirror have other project as well. She didn't dare to respond so the group is silent.
<Qian Qian!(Her birthname is Chen Qian, so I guess they must call her Qianqian 🤣). Her mom call her, she rose up and brush off the feeling and go to meet her family.

<There are many project contacting you to be the main character, I'm afraid we don't have much time to relax> her manager rambling through the phone. Yuqi listens quietly. Being a star is her biggest dream but recently she feel like her efforts didn't give the result.
<Reject the drama project, I don't think I could act in any project for this year> She said. There was a short silent from her manager.
<But you are in high demand these days, why do you suddenly want to stop> She thought back to her days as extra and wanted to be a main role in any project. But now she feel like, it is not as glorious as she imagined.
<I need time for myself, I want to discover a new role, It seem like I'm living in the same world again and again.> She seem dazed in to her thought. Her manager who work with her for many years understand her. She sigh...
<I am not forcing you, but think for your future, I just don't want to see your dream crushed.> to her, Yuqi is not a lazy person, she is hardworking, she take project upon project without any hesitation. She challenged her role and try her best to portray her character.
<If the current event make you exhausted, take some break, I'll look for magazines photo shoot and some non drama gig for you in the meantime!> To yuqi, she is like a family to her, always take care of her like a sister.
<Thank Jie!> she drops her phone off and stare at the ceiling.
New year new self... she silently promise.

(Flashback)
<Why are you here alone? Aren't you suppose to rehearse with your prince?> he refer to Yecheng, since it is the scene of her and Yecheng at Wusecheng... she sit alone and read her line. She look at him. Again in Su Mo clothes, but many layers, She saw his sweat on his forehead. This is torture, it is the middle of summer but the set suppose to be in winter, both her and him wear clothes with many layers.
<He supposed to be in the coma, So I don't think I obligated to rehearse with him> she replied.
<And his name is Yecheng, you should address him by his name> She asked and change her attention to her script. He smiles a sit down next to her.
<No wonder, you are chosen to be that Crown Princess>
<Her name is Bai Ying> She correct him and look through the script. He scoffed, the more she secluded herself from other, the more he interested in her.
<If you don't have a scene to shoot, you can go and sit in you trailer, I need concentration> She said and continue focus on her script.
<Bai Ying Jin Zhou, if you want to demonstrate that you are better actor, act it out! I would like to see> She really want some peace and quiet, but little did she know the famous Li Yifeng had prepared some trick in his sleeves. Yuqi want to decline, but the look on his face make her change her mind.
<Fine! you'll be Zhen Lan and I'll be Bai Ying>
<Deal>
<Then lay down> she point to the ground next to her. He narrow his brow, she look at him and eye to the ground.
<But I'm not Zhen Lan...> he tries to decline
<Acting are better when the set is prepare...> She look at him and point to the ground. Li Yifeng is famous as a jokester on set, she also received the name of master of convincing because she is able to convince people. He lay down on the ground. Yuqi hold a smile.
<You are a corpse, close your eyes, do not react> he want to say something, but she open her big eyes and look at him, so he closes his eye and pretend to be a unconscious prince. Yuqi tries so hard to hold her laugh. She proceeds to recite the line.
<Less emotion more sympathy.> He opens his eyes and said.
<You sound like a wife who sadly describes her life to her dead husband> Yuqi frown.
<Eh... I think in this scene Bai Ying must be in heartbreak because she lost everything. Zhen Lan is her only hope. So she has to have some emotion.> She protest, she studies the script throughly.
<But isn't Bai Ying love Su Mo? She only regard Zhen Lan as her Leader.> He stand up and argue with her.
<But it is between Bai Ying and Zhen Lan, why mentioned Su Mo?>
<Bai Ying supposed to miss Su Mo badly for these 100 years, so whatever between Bai Ying and Zhen Lan, there is no romance feeling> What is his problem?
<So, if you are good at being Bai Ying, why not be Bai Ying?>
<If I am Bai Ying, then who would be Su Mo? I am the most handsome Su Mo> he told her proudly. She couldn't argue back, he indeed handsome, but a little bit irritated.
<So if Hai Haung not mind, I would like to continue recite my script> She really want to walk away. He seem friendly with everyone on set, and everyone is happy around him. She just want some quiet, but he doesn't want to let her go.
<Do you like Zhen Lan or Su Mo?> Eh suddenly he asked her. She stares at him tensely, she already has an answer, but she doesn't want him to hear.
<I don't have preference! Now I must go, thank you for your time> She stop being polite and walk away.
<Don't rush to answer, you can answer me anytime> He smile and yell, while she walk away.
Of course she choose Su Mo... and he knew.
