Lead Me to Love

Leni stumbled out of the hotel lobby, drunk and disoriented. She just attended a party hosted by one of her old friends. Nowadays, it's a rare occasion for her to go out and drink as much as she did tonight. She tried her best to steady herself as she walked to the parking lot.

Minsan lang naman. She thought to herself.

She was searching her bag for her car keys when she accidentally bumped into someone.

"Ah!"

Leni almost fell out of balance. Luckily, the person who she bumped into was able to catch her by the waist.

"Be careful, miss."

Leni giggled as she looked up at her saviour. Her vision was hazy due to the alcohol but she was able to distinguish a man wearing shades. She thought that his voice was oddly familiar. Clearly intoxicated and acting silly, Leni leaned close to the man and sniffed him.

"Al- lam mo... ang bango mo.. at.. at ang... g- gwapo mo. Kahit na..."

"Kahit na?" The man was curious about what she was going to say next.

"Kahit na... kamukha mo si... si... B- si... Bong Bong!" She chortled.

Bong Bong Marcos could not believe the situation he is in as of the moment. Right in front of him is his political rival, Leni Robredo - very drunk to the point that she can't even recognize him.

He slowly smiled as he thought,

This woman has no idea of what she just got herself into.

After helping Leni steady herself, Bong Bong took a step back. Amused with what was happening, he decided to play along with her.

"Bong Bong? Sino yun?" He said.

"Si... Bong Bong Marcos! S- sa ibang planeta ka ba nakatira?"

Leni pumped her fists as she began to dance and chant,

"BBM! BBM! BBM!"

Bong Bong was amazed at what he was seeing. He was tempted to pull his phone out and record her but he decided that it would be better to stop her before she gets any louder.

"Okay, okay! Gets na kita. That's enough." He interrupted.

To his relief, Leni stopped and giggled again.

"G- good... Ng- ngayon... educated ka na."

Bong Bong chuckled. He was not really fond of Leni but he liked this version of her a lot better. He remembered what she said to him a while ago. He smiled mischievously as he asked her,

"Kanina, sinabi mo na gwapo ako kahit na kamukha ko si Bong Bong... Sa tingin mo, sino ang mas gwapo sa aming dalawa?"

Leni squinted at him. It took her a few moments before she finally answered,

"S- sin- abi ko ba... yun?"

"Oo. Sinabi mo, gwapo ako. Di mo ba natatandaan?"

"I n- need... pr- proof."

"Proof? Anong klase?"

"Ta- Tanggalin mo nga... yang sh- shades mo."
