"Oh my, Arya, I feel like I haven't seen you in forever! How are you, my girl?" May embraces me in a welcoming hug and I shut my eyes, I missed the comforting feeling of Aunt May.

"I'm good. I miss you," I tell her honestly, "Peter is just up in his room" It was already obvious what I was here for. "Thank you, May" I nod to her before walking up the steps and in front of Peter's door.

A knock a twice allowing him some time to answer it, only after a short minute he opened the door and looked shocked to see me.

"Hey..." I trail off and step into his room, "I wanted to talk to you about-"

"Arya? Hey!" The familiar side voice cut me off and I look to the side to see Gwen sitting at Peter's desk. "Oh... Gwen, I didn't know you were..." Well, this was perfect. I was actually stupid for coming over here and expecting anything less.

"Yeah, I was just helping Peter with applications" She points to the stack of papers on the desk and I nod my head. "Yeah, just applications" Peter felt the need to clarify that the only reason she was here was for applications.

"I can leave if you guys need some privacy" She offers standing up out of her seat and I immediately shake my head, declining the offer. "It was nothing - I just wanted to see what he was doing"

Before anyone could respond the door opens behind me and I move to see May in the door, "Oh, Gwen, I didn't know you were here"

"Dinner is ready. You two should join us!" May offers, they have no idea how bad I want to crawl in a ditch and stay there for eternity right now. "I wouldn't want to intrude" Gwen answers back politely declining the offer.

"You two are staying, I insist" You really couldn't say no to May— or I could never say no to her. She was another mother figure to me. What she says goes.

I look over to Peter before being the first to walk out after May, this dinner was going to the the death of me; not only is it going to be very awkward, I have to deal with the fact that I was coming to talk with Peter about Gwen then ended up finding Gwen here.

"Take as you please," She waves her hand over the food that was laid out on the dinner table, I take my seat beginning to fix my plate along with everyone else.

It was quiet, not a comfortable silence either. The only sounds were the silverware hitting the plates, and the sound of chewing. We all looked around at each other, waiting for someone to start up the conversation, which I have no doubt it'll be awkward either way.

I noticed the look that Aunt May gave to Peter noticing the abnormal awkward silence that filled the room, Peter gave her a shrug and a 'I don't know what to do look' as he stuffed his mouth with food.

May cleared her throat as she sat up, "How's Quinn doing?" Her head turned to me and I sat up at the attention being on me. "Um,—" I finish chewing the rest of my food before speaking, "She's doing great, she's started to pick up a few hours at her job" I nod my head as I was speaking.
