The dogs that fight will come together
Bound by fate, forever stuck
To make the beast submit, and the path is revealed.
Beware of the Darkness that lingers in your heart
That was told to me at 3 years old. And it has stuck to me. I got it in a necklace so I wouldn't forget it, and so I remember it. I'm 17 years old, and still have no idea about the prophecy. I sighed and got out of my room, putting my necklace in my dark blue t-shirt. Being the biggest shepherd wolf in town, I was considered as the beast to everyone.
"Morning dad," I said.
"morning kiddo," he said. "Still can't figure it out huh?"
"Yeah," I said, taking a seat at the table. "It's frustrating!"
My dad, being a 39 year old wolf, rubbed my head and put a plate of pancakes in front of me. "I'm sure it will come clear one day bud."
"I hope so" I said, starting to eat my pancakes.
"Also, you got no school today, as the entire school building is getting cleaned out for the next week."
I couldn't help but smile, but knew I would have work to do after the week. Nodding to my dad, while finishing up my food. Being the only beast in school, I wasn't messed with, but I never missed out on my work. But little did I know, a certain day would change my life for good.
"So, your birthday is tomorrow-" Was all my dad said when I started to choke on a pancake.
After I got it down and drank some water, I looked at my dad in shock. "My WHAT is tomorrow?!"
"Your birthday, remember?" he asked.
I looked dumbfounded, as I completed forgot. "Oh, right............" I was going to find my soulmate, but knew it was impossible as I was feared and no one wanted me. "Dad, you know that I'm not going to find my one."
"I know, but maybe they'll find you."
"you say that like it could be a boy or girl"
"That's because............my soulmate is a boy, but my family killed him and marry your mother. I want you to be happy with who you find."
I rushed to give dad a hug, as I heard it all before, but knew he was trying to be a good father figure for me. "Thanks dad"
"You're welcome champ."
I smiled as dad got out some mint chocolate ice cream, as he knew how to make my day better without trying. He and I chuckled as we went on the couch and turned the tv on to watch some news. I smiled as I laid my head on his right shoulder, knowing he would be there for me when ever I needed comfort, even if I didn't find my soulmate.
