A/N: The dance they do will be in the sidebar -------> Also the outfit she will be wearing to club will also be in the sidebar. Please let me know if I should go on with the story :)
I rolled out the bed just a little too far making a loud crash noise when I hit the ground. “Oi fuck.” I grumbled now rubbing my forehead that hit the nightstand. Turning on my IPod I let the music of Pierce The Veil blare through my bedroom as I bop around getting ready. Today I was leaving Manchester to go to London for a dance competition I was be with my partner Cedric. We dance contemporary, hip hop. Jazz and Lyrical hip hop which was a lot of fun if I did say myself. Hearing my phone ring I answered it. “Cedric hey!” I said excitedly on the phone. Not only was I very excited for the competition but I also got to see my favorite cousin Max. “I’ll be round in about ten be ready.” I giggled before agreeing with him. Grabbing my suite case full of stuff I would be needed for the next month I dragged it down my steps of my house. Getting outside I seen Cedric I smiled waving at him. Cedric was a tall slender guy with black and red hair he also had these deep blue sea eyes. “Hey you!” I shouted rolling my suite case down the pathway. Once I got close enough he put in the back for me before we both climb into the car.
As we took the drive to London we discussed what would what songs we would perform tomorrow. Which I was very excited for seeing as Max and his friends would be in front row. This would be first time in almost two years Max would get to see me perform my dances. Once the longest drive ever was over we pulled into the flat we would be living at for a while we both got out dragging our items into the flat. “Hey Lacey are you hungry? I’m thinking about ordering some food once of us can pick it up if you want.” Cedric shouted up the stairs of the flat peaking my head out the bedroom I had picked for myself I smiled nodding my head. “I can pick it up since I know my way round London better than you.” Skipping down the steps we order ourselves some food. After a while I grabbed my jacket setting to get the food, walking along the streets of London I smiled wide I couldn’t help but love London. Getting to the Chinese place we order our food at I thought I spotted someone I knew. Shaking my head I walked up to the counter. “Pick order for Lacey George.” The lady smiled handing me my food I paid her turning around to leave. Getting home Cedric and I ate our food talking about tomorrow which we both were very excited for. Tomorrow was going to be the biggest dance competition we have been in it also helped that Max would be there rooting me on. Finishes up our food we both went to bed seeing as we had to get up early for the dance competition.
Waking up at 6:30 in the morning I took a shower leaving my hair to dry naturally and not putting on any makeup seeing as today we would be dancing contemporary first. I never like to put on much makeup for that seeing as it was dance to express emotions more than anything. Seeing Cedric come down the stairs I smiled and we both left the house driving off to the arena where everything was being held. The 20 minute drive went by quickly which was nice because my nerves were eating me inside. Walking into the arena I saw the huge stage before both Cedric and I looked at each other smiling wide. “This is going to be awesome.” I said still looking at the stage. “Yeah it really is. I can’t wait to show everyone what we are made of. They are going to be shocked to see what we have sleeves.” I giggled before nodding my head. Cedric was right people usually underestimate us. Once we finished checking in it was growing near time for everything to finally get started. Smiling we walked behind stage finding out dressing room. Getting dress in the blue lyrical dress I would be wearing I brushed out my hair leaving it down for the dance. Turning around I face Cedric who was just buttoning up his shirt. I smiled at him feeling the nerves in the pit of my stomach. “I am so nervous but I’m also very excited.” I said looking up at him.
“Yeah I know what you mean I’m just ready to show the world what we have.” I nodded my head. We stood in the dressing room doing our normal routine before all our shows. Once we done it was finally time to go stand in line and wait out turn. “WELCOME LADIES AND GENTMEN!” The announcer said as he started talking about the dance competition. Once we was done explaining everything I peeked around the side of the stage to see Max and friends sitting in the front row. I clapped my hands smiling very excited for him to finally see me dance after so long. Standing behind the stage we seem some solo acts and a few partner acts but nothing like what Cedric and I would be doing. After the short intermission it was going to be mines and Cedric turn. Watching as they put of the props for our routine I turned him smiling wide. “Are you ready?” I asked he just smiled and nodding his head. “Next up we have Lacey George and her dance partner Cedric Long! They will be dancing contemporary to Turning Tables.” Walking onto the dark stage I took the front chair while Cedric went to his spot. Feeling the two spot lights on us and the music startup we started our dance.
