Rain's POV

"I know it seems impossible to win but we might have a chance if we can just manage to get the dragons on our side." I had been awake to hear the whole story about angels and demons at war, but now they're talking about dragons, witches, and warlocks helping them. I wanna see all of the species even the angels, I really just want to rate their wings on fluffiness. "Dragons!? I wanna see one, Can I touch one? No an even more important question, Can I Ride Them?"

They looked ready to fight, I guess I startled them. "Ur, sorry I didn't mean to intrude on your conversation." A slight blush rose to my checks, I was embarrassed to say the least. "Don't ever do that again, I thought someone snuck into the room or something.". "Sorry I just couldn't help it, I mean dragons are...real and I could meet one, that's so exciting." They seemed to think about what I said for a few seconds. "You can't go, it'd be too dangerous and we can't take that risk."

"What!? But I'll be fine you, you could protect me from anything can't you?" That made me eternally upset, "The dragons are one of the oldest races and not only that but they are very powerful to top it off." I stood up still unsteady in the legs, "You guys are werewolves and stuff so it's easier to keep yourselves protected. I'm just a human in your eyes, and even worse you probably think I can't protect myself. If I can prove you wrong can I go?"

My eyes showed that I was hell bent on this, I just think meeting every species would be a good thing. At least I think it'd be good for me cuz I technically can see the world like I've always wanted. "Alright if you can show that you can protect yourself as well as a werewolf than we'll take you. But you only have 2 months if you fail before that then you aren't coming.". "Deal~ Don't be shocked if I prove you wrong."

"I see one problem in this plan of yours, you're still injured and we don't know when you'll be well enough to even walk properly." Alex pointed out that one detail I seemed to completely forget. I thought of something quickly I wasn't going to be held back just because of 'small' injuries, they'd have to heal but I could still train while that happened.

"I already have a plan for that so you have no need to worry about that." They both smiled liking the determination in my voice, they had no doubt that I'd keep my word. "Well if you're gonna start training I suggest we all get some sleep, it would be impossible to make any progress if you're exhausted." That last part seemed to be more so directed at Alex than me. It suddenly dawned on me that there was one thing we all forgot, "Hey, not to ruin the mood but uh, could I maybe get something to eat?"

It had honestly been a while since I've had a meal, if you could call two pieces of bread with nothing on it a meal. And I'd only get lucky to eat 3 times a month, I would only be able to eat every two weeks sometimes three. "Wow I don't think I've ever seen anyone eat with such haste before...you do know the food isn't going to run away right?" Concern dripped from Akara's voice as she said those words. "Sorry it's just been a long time since I've last eaten and I can't help but eat quickly."

"How long has it been since you've last eaten?" She almost sounded scared to ask the question, worried she'd get an answer she didn't like. "Maybe a month? Could be a bit longer than that but I've gotten used to the hunger over the years." I said it as if it was the most normal thing in the world, but it technically was in my eyes and there was nothing anyone could change about that.

"A whole month!? What kind of monster would starve a person for that long!? Did they give you a lot of food to make up for that time or something!?" I simply shook my head taking calm sips of water from a clear glass cup. "On a normal day it's just two pieces of bread, if I tried to get anything more I'd get beaten and then I wouldn't be fed. It's as simple as that." I could somewhat understand why that was shocking to them but I couldn't quite comprehend just how bad that sounded to people who's appetite meant everything.
