Jacks POV
I stepped out of my shower, steam circling me as I ran my fingers through my wet hair and then loosely wrapped a towel around my waist. The scent of old spice trailing after me as I walked towards my bathroom mirror. The mirror was cloudy due to the steam of my shower, so I dried it with a hand towel.  I stared at me reflection, happy with what I saw. I took out a comb and began combing my hair back,  saying words of encouragement to my reflection. As I continued to get ready, I found myself growing evermore nervous. I didn't even know this girl and I found myself desperate to please her.

I finished up in my bathroom before walking to my bedroom. I began to get dressed, putting on black dress pants, a silk dark blue dress shirt that I left slightly unbuttoned and overtop I put on my black blazer. I laced up my dress shoes and was soon out the door.

Time skip

I arrived at the restaurant just in time. I walked through the luxury front doors and into the lobby. I looked around, and my heart skipped a beat when my eyes locked on hers.

Fuck.
She was gorgeous.

- Megan's outfit

Her dress hugged her body perfectly and her natural glow made my breath catch in my throat. I felt like the luckiest man alive. I plastered a winning smile on my face and walked towards her. I greeted her with a bear hug and when I pulled away I saw her smile was matching mine.

"Wow you look, amazing wow."
I said.

She giggled and responded.

"Right back at you."

"I was really excited for tonight, I'm glad you made that shot so we'd be able to go out."

She blushed slightly, he adorable cheeks being filled with a slightly pink hue.

"I... am too."

We stared at each for a moment, the tension building up between us. She was the one to break away from our moment.

"Let's see if our tables ready... I'm starving."

I snickered

"Ah ok love let's see."

As we began walking to the hostess section, I slipped my arm around her waist. I felt her tense up and I thought I had made a mistake by doing that, but then I felt her relax against my arm. A slow smile crossed my face. My arm fit around her body perfectly. I asked the hostess if the table was ready, and it was. We were escorted to a private well dressed table that had an amazing view of the city. Relaxing classical music played softly throughout the restaurant. I pulled out Megan's chair for her, then sat down in the seat across from her. She picked up a menu and began to leaf through it, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her eye as she did.

"Do you know what you want to order?"

I questioned her.

"Hmmm I think for appetizers I'm gonna get a grilled Cesar salad. I like how the lettuce gets crunchy but not soggy. It's so good"

She said without lifting her eyes off her menu.

Before I could respond a waiter came over to us, notepad and pen in hand.

"Bonjour,"

He said in a thick French accent.

"Are you two ready to order some appetizers?"

"Qui,"

Megan answered in French.

"Je prendrai la salade César grillée"

The waiter raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Vous parlez français mademossile?"

She giggled.

"I speak a bit."

A smile spread across the waiters face.

"So one grilled ceased salad, et toi monseuir?"

My eyes bounced between Megan and the waiter before I realized he was talking to me.

"Oh! I'll try the grilled salad as well please."

"Very well. And for the main course?"

"I'll have the salmon please."

I smiled. That's what I was going to order.

"I'll have the same as the lady please."

The waiter aggressively scribbled our order on to his small notepad before walking off. I turned to Megan smiling.

"So you speak French?"

She blushed a little.

"I took French in high school for university credits. I remember a little bit from class but not a lot."

"That's really cool! I can't speak a second language but I've always wanted too. You also have good taste In food."

She smiled at my remark, her smile warming my heart.

"You said you took French for university credits, what are you going to university for?"

She sipped her water before answering.

"I wanna be an architect, have my own business in the city."

"An architect? That's so cool!"

She smiled and began to tell me about her career goals. I was so entranced when she talked, I hadn't even noticed when our waiter brought our food over.

As dinner continued, we got closer. Laughing and talking throughout the night.
