As I was walking down the stairs, I heard Kin and Kon walking in. It was 10:01 AM. Fashionably late. AGAIN.
When I got to the table, Lanes came out of the kitchen carrying her special pancakes.
This was great. Laney's pancakes are the absolute BEST.
As she sat down, Kin and Kon were discussing their latest "stunt": Shopping Cart racing. Basically it's like a Soapbox Derby but with shopping carts.
I felt a slight tug on my shirt. I swiveled around to find Lanes had moved all the way to my side of the table. I blushed a bit and took another bite of the pancake.
Mmmm. Like a cloud.
