It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and so was Aiden. He had a sun pendant around his neck that he received when he was three when his parents died. He lived with his grandparents until they died when he turned 13. Aiden always went to the cliff at noon, when the sun was directly on his skin. He loved the feel of the warm sun on his skin. Not only did it warm him up on cold days, it always helped him remember what it was like to embrace someone.
Aiden didn't have any friends in the town he was in. He became friends with someone through a pen pal assignment in school. Ever since then, they've been friends. Best friends even. But they had no idea what each other sounded or looked like. Only by descriptions.
Of course, Calypso always helped Aiden with his singing. She wasn't really considered a friend to him. She was considered a teacher. And that was it. But Aiden always respected his teachers.
Aiden's life was rather boring to others. But to him, it was the most exciting it could get for him. He woke up, made breakfast, ate breakfast, went shopping if he needed, went to school, and all that. He was basically a young adult all on his own. He could function well, and communicate with others well.
Aiden always saw Sabrina shopping and thought she was just like him. He believed she didn't have a family either. So he always wanted to talk to her, but every chance he got, he couldn't talk to her. He just became shy and too nervous to talk to her. He didn't understand why, because he's talked to other girls before. He didn't think he was falling in love.
After Aiden went shopping (which was the day I found out who Misty's daughter was), he went home and put the groceries away. Afterward, he went to where Calypso has been staying as Ms. Drakos. She welcomed him in, and got right to teaching, with some breaks in between.
Aiden would have a dream that he was with the gods and being led to Aurora, Goddess of Light, and right beside Misty, the Goddess of Water, was Sabrina. He always thought he had some sort of connection with Aurora.
One day, when Aiden went to sing on the cliff, it got dark quicker than he thought, so he knew that winter was approaching. He grabbed his hidden lantern and started heading down the cliff. He was walking past the forest, when he heard the raging river suddenly calm and then flute music that became more clear. He decided to follow the sound. Then, he saw Sabrina and me talking. He watched everything that had happened and immediately knew that she was related to Misty.
He backed away slowly and carefully while being quiet. He didn't know what to say or do. He just ran back home and went to sleep.
The next day, when he was going to work as a tailor, Sabrina walked in.
"Hello, what can I do for you today?" He asked, not looking at Sabrina. "I'm just getting some clothes for my brother. It's his birthday tomorrow." She said, looking at different clothes on the clothing racks. When Aiden looked up, he saw Sabrina and his heart started beating faster.
Sabrina heard his heartbeat and said, "Are you okay? Your heart is beating faster than it normally should." "Uh... Y-Yeah. I-I'm fine. D-Don't worry about me. R-Really," Aiden stuttered.
Aiden ran into the back and sat down and waited for his heart to settle. One of his female co-workers saw him and asked, "You okay?" He looked up at her and said, "Yeah, I'm fine," "Are you sure?" She asked. "Well no... You see, there's a girl, and every time I see her, I become a nervous wreck, my hands start to sweat, and my heart beats faster," he said, crossing his arms. She picked up the basket of fabric and said, "Well I think you're in love," Aiden looked surprised and yelled, "IN LOVE?!" His co-worker laughed and said, "Yeah. You're in love with this mystery girl."
