Chapter 1 - You and Miriam

It was the day of your 13th birthday Miriam was 10 she was So exited that she gets to have a sister who's a teenager

Ooooo Y/N what are you going to wish for do you know what your presents are do you wanna know

Im not sure, no and no I want to be surprised

Ok everyone Y/N is about to blow out their candles are you ready

As you sat down you got nervous and scared but closed your eyes and blew out the candles after Miriam ran up and gave you a big hug and your mom snapped a photo

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

Fast forward your now 16 years old and your birthday is today highschool is cool and all but everyone gets on your nerves and the only class you like is going home turning 16 is supposed to sound cool because now your a woman or young adult and should be taken more seriously yeah your mom took the whole "taken seriously" thing serious she said "Y/N once you turn 16 your going to need to get a job make your own money" "but mom how am I going to get to work without a car" "maybe that's something you can save up for" as you was done getting ready for school you prayed that your mom wasn't gonna hit you with happy birthday Y/N now get a job you slob your mom was cool and all but when you turned 13 you was a teenager and she wanted you to be responsible and be a role model for mir

Your little sister Miriam is now 13 in 8th grade and has braces sometimes you pick at her about what she's gonna do when she gets in highschool and that's she's gonna be fresh meat and everyone's going to eat her and her freinds up (I'm so mean I'm a freshman to IRL back to story)

So mir what ya gonna do when you finally get in highschool

Well you know you'll have to fight for your life in a place like that be ready for anything

Oh yeah I would so have your back but you know I'm not a freshman I had to fight and now it's your turn so watch your back

Your mom hands you your book a small cake with 16 on it and five dollars and told you to get out because highschool is important and you need all the time you can get

Sure thing mom oh and mir by the way all those things don't actually happen it's ok to be scared though if you think middle school was tuff wait till highschool how ever you do in freshmen year is how they expect you to be all the rest of the years but then again you can surprise them but I know you will do amazing 

Looking down at the five dollars and small cake you had you decided to go to the store to get a drink going into the convenience store you think about your mom and how you let her down instead of being a good kid you became a rule breaking delinquent thats grades were never good enough truly you cared and tried your hardest but sometimes your hardest can let you down or not enough and you felt bad for your sister and wondered if she still loved you like the way she did

*Wow did hmm that's a funny word*

*I guess I'll get this cool looking fruity drink it doesn't seem to bad*

You walked up to the register shoving the drink at the cashier just wanting to hurry up and get to school you did have to walk after all

On your way to school you ran into some scrub

On the wall behind him you noticed a poster for 4 town and that their coming Toronto

Your grab out your flip phone(the movie was based in 2002 so like iPods/iPhones wasn't a thing at the time but phones u carry around was) and look for your sisters phone number when she picks up you start yelling and getting excited about it

OH MY GOSH WHAT Y/N 4TOWN IS COMING TO TORINO WHAT THIS IS SOOOOOO COOL

You hear your mom shout from a distance on the phone

Going into the highschool building you go to your locker taking out some books in your side bag and putting in books for your first class of the day while getting them you look over to see your ex bff with her bf and thinking about how she said you were to reckless and trouble making and that she chose her bf over you even if you didn't get in trouble a lot she still would have chose dick with legs and lips over you anyway it didn't matter at this point because you didn't care it was your birthday anyways and you wanted to have the best as you sat down you took out your small cake with it's little spork and ate it your English teacher came up to you

Oh yeah totally having a awesome party over here

Ah I see 16 hmm?

Yes ma'am I'm 16 today big one six I'm an adult now

You awkwardly laugh your teacher noticing that your not having the best time of your life

Welllllll it's just that I don't know when I met you freshman year everyone thought they was so cool and mature just because their a 9th grader and tried to act way more mature then they do but you oh you haha you was as immature as ever now you for sure acted like a 9th grader while everyone else acted like a senior or at least tried

You and your teacher ended up laughing English wasn't really your favorite subject but it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be plus the teacher she was cool and badass

That is true you know we're only young and care free for so long and the older you get the more you realize how fast your life went by and try to save onto that sliver of young care free selflessness you have you know

Your teacher looked at you in awe

I wasn't a teen or born in 2002 so I'm trying my best but I Kno my mom did graduate in 2003 so 👌 I also didn't want to add cuss words but oh well
