When Izuku punched shigaraki with 30% it just knocked Shigaraki down but didn't keep him down he just got back up. Izuku saw shigaraki disappear and then Izuku realized shigaraki appeared behind him. Izuku didn't have time to react because he had a knife. Izuku waited for the stab to impale him but never did instead he turned around and saw Melissa standing in front of him with a knife in her abdomen bleeding out.
Izuku: *turns around and immediately gets upset* Melissa why did you do that
Melissa: *coughs up blood and smiles* I had to do it, it was the only way to make sure you didn't get paralyzed all that matters is that one of us might get to live, I love you Izuku *she falls sideways onto the ground bleeding out*
Shigaraki: *chuckles* see kid you can't expect to save everyone not even your girlfriend but she as just a stupid whore
Izuku: *hair turns to turquoise and stand up and light green electricity surrounds his body* MELISSA WAS MY GIRLFRIEND AND I WON'T LET HER DIE BECAUSE YOOOUUUUU *he zooms towards shigaraki and punches shigaraki's head off causing him to defeat shigaraki*
Bakugo: *walks up to Izuku and puts his hand on his shoulder* You can save everyone Deku not even a villain, don't worry Melissa was rushed to recovery girl she will be fine
Izuku: *looks at his torn sleeves, rock looking mouth guard, and his crippled up costume* I have to leave you UA in order to protect everyone and keep them safe, I am sorry Melissa but I hope you'll understand

We can see Izuku standing on top of a gargoyle checking out the view of the city. He was talking to Nana shimura's spirit because he had no one else to talk to. She kept telling him to go back to UA because Melissa had something to tell him but he kept saying no and that he would just be putting his friends in danger.
Nana: Izuku you have to go back Melissa has something very important to tell you
Izuku: no I can't if I go back I risk putting my friends in danger and my girlfriend so I can't
Nana: Izuku they will be ok I promise all the villains have been dealt with by you go back now
Izuku: no I no longer thanks orders from you
Nana: fine don't then but next your about to get hit by an explosion don't ask me why I didn't tell you *disappears*
Izuku: *gets knocked off the gargoyle and hits the ground* Dammit that hurt like hell that was definitely Kacchan's quirk but why the hell is him and the rest of the class with him
Bakugo: *zooming towards Izuku with his while* COME ON GUYS HE'S OVER HERE HELP ME RESTRAIN HIM HE IS COMING BACK TO UA
Izuku: *tries running but keeps limping and crying* STAY AWAY PLEASE I WILL JUST PUT YOU IN MORE DANGER I LET MELISSA GET HURT NOW SHE PROBABLY HATES ME
Melissa: *catches Izuku before he falls* that's not true Izu I will never have you I will always love you no matter what
Izuku: *cries into her shoulder* I'm sorry Melissa I should have never left
Melissa: *puts his hand on her stomach* that doesn't matter Izu what matters is that your alive, now tell me what do you feel
Izuku: *gasps* I feel something kicking inside your stomach
Melissa: *smiles* yep your right but what do you think it is
Izuku: *hugs Melissa crying tears of joy* your pregnant I can't believe it I get to be a father of a beautiful baby
Melissa: *smiles* a beautiful baby girl
Izuku: *smiles* I am so happy it's a girl, can we name it Reiko
Melissa: *kisses his cheek* yes we can name it that because I love that name, plus she won't be born until you graduate UA
Izuku: *smiles and holds Melissa's hand* that's ok with me because I plan on proposing to you on the day of graduation
Melissa: *smiles* I'm sorry I got you dragged into they Izuku and that you will have to be a father after graduation
Izuku: *chuckles* it's ok Melissa it just happens, people get caught up in it that things happen but it's ok since I get to spend my life with you
Melissa: *lays her head on Izuku's shoulder* awww thank you zuzu I love you so much
Izuku: *kisses her head* I love you too Mel, let's go back to UA
Uraraka: *walks up to Izuku* Deku can we talk please, I won't take no for an answer please
Izuku: *shakes head* no way in hell are you talking to be alone and let's not forget that you were making out with ka- *he is cut off by the times square TV turning on showing a blue human being*

Izuku: *nods* I know Mel but it's a risk I'm willing to take my friend Rody will fly me over the base then I'll jump out over it and land at the entrance mean while it means everyone finding the bombs
Melissa: *crying* No zuzu you can't do this to me again, I have not slept for w months and all of your friends kept trying to get me to sleep but I just kept declining and worrying about you
Izuku: *looks down* I'm sorry Mel I have to do this because lives are at stake here, those bombs will go off and I will lose everyone one I love and care about, you, the baby, my friend, mom, All Might everyone
Melissa: *hugs Izuku* just please come back safe Zuzu I can't raise Reiko by myself when she is born
Izuku: *smiles* I promise Mel I will come back to you and will make sure to keep myself from killing him in the process
Izuku the swings away using Black whip. Meanwhile Rody was standing next to the plain waiting for Izuku to arrive. But what Izuku didn't know is that Momo, Mina, Hagakure who is now visible, Uraraka, Tsuyu, and Jiro we're get a ride from All Might who was driving a car to the plane to make sure Melissa could go with Izuku.
