The scene opens up a overhead shot of a giant sinkhole with black and yellow spikes peircing the ground around it, destroying the the giant office building and skyscrapers surrounding it. In the center however sat a giant white building with bridges and walkways going in every direction aswell as towers that went up and down every couple hundred feet. The main building stretched high up the top of its roof spikes poking out above the sinkhole just a bit and a orange barrier that pulsed coverd the doors and windows.
"Oh that's bullshit!" A voice shouted before the clashing of metal and sounds of explosions was heard. Looking closer one could see two men fighting withing the crypt of the ribcage, or the enterance to the cathedral.
One man had black hair which was tied into dreads and into 3 loop on the back of his head. A two giant giant scars went over both eyes giving him a fierce look. He wore a loose fitting outfit with a simple leather tunic and baggy combat pants with knees pads and elbow pads and in his hands was a giant curved broadsword. Hsi eyes flashed red before he charged at a incredible speed towards the other make who dodged out of the way of the swing. That was kirito one of the two brothers that resided within the cathedral. He was also a dev for yggradisil which was why this building which belonged to another game was here in the first place.
The other person was y/n, kirito's younger brother. He raised his weapon, a modified one handed sword known as a "Machete" and swung at kirito who blocked it. Y/n disappeared into ashes before appearing behind kirito and activating his blood veil, Hedgehog fort. The hounds shot out at kirito who neatly blocked them.
"Hold still y/n you little shit!" Kirito said and activated his own blood veil, Night stinger, which shot out towards y/n. Y/n swung twice sending it back before it snaked around and went again only for one of y/ns hounds to bite it and the other to go straight at kirito. The player deactivated his stinger and jumped back narrowly avoiding the bite. Y/n pressed forwards using one of his skills (Honor guard) to summon four icy portal which shot out large chunks of ice at his brother. Kirito was unable to block and dodge then all resulting in his HP rapidly being drained and him being defeated.
Y/n laughed and looked at his brother who sighed in defeat.
"Fine you won, I'll pay you later" he grumbled and y/n smirked victoriously.
"Told you you couldnt best me" y/n teased and kirito looked at him with a grin.
"Ok mister level 300 going up againt a level 260" y/n rolled his eyes at his brothers excuse and turned walking towards the stairs that led into the main base itself. The successor of the ribcage slept idly nearby and y/n looked back.
"I'm gonna go sit on the throne before the servers shut down"
"Alright, you do that, I have to go though boss just messaged me and wanted a word on hsi server" with a wave and a nod kirito disconnected leaving y/n alone In the cathedral. Y/n descended the stairs his hands clasped behind his back and he let out a deep breath. Intricate carving stufded the walls and floor of the entire cathedril even outside and y/n ran his fingers against the wall. Now of course he couldnt actually feel the wall, just liek he doukdnt feel damage doen to him or the weight of his equipment but it enhanced y/ns immersion in the game. Y/n activated his menu and selected the roo, he wanted before disappearing.
Both of the l/n brothers loved Code Vein a old souls type game from way back that had to be played on a console. It was admittedly easier then dark souls and others of the genre but it was still plenty difficult and fun at the same time. It had likable characters a great story line and boss fights that where for the most part fun.

So with that love and kirito's job as a developer for yggradisil he could code in locations NPCs and equipment from the game with permission from the original creators which he got. Y/n and his brother where the only two in the entire playerbase with the access to the "Revenant" racial class, which was a just a significantly better version of the vampire racial class. Stronger, faster, more HP and MP and a 3 time larger level cap it dominated every other racial class in the game. However despite the twos love for the game they argued on who was better, the revnants that where your teamtes during the game or the bosses you faced along the way. Y/n liked the bosses more, aside from Io, so he recreated a few of them while his brother did the same for the revnants.
