Bia a 31 year old still figuring out her life, how pitiful. With her deep sea green eyes and her brown 2A hair - Bia has all it takes to make nation rulers tumble, that innocent yet sexy look can make women forget their sexuality or burn with envy. See she has both beauty and a smart brain toppled with her charming smile, the smile that took her years to perfect - her one sided dimple paired with a perfect set of dentition a tall order of what every woman wants ...
Well she has always been pretty, even if she would never believe it, you see you can take a villager to the castle to dine with the king but you can never take the villager out of him, Bia lacked an essential character to make her the perfect story - De crème de la crème. Bia lacked confidence, a problem so deeply etched in her that she couldn't even fake it and that was the tip of the ice berg of her misery.Rushing out of the house, she forgot the most important thing on a Monday morning, there will be traffic. Rushing through the morning traffic the air was humid and she was already 15 minutes late for work 'why can't everyone just call in sick' Bia cursed inwardly as the traffic moved at a snail pace, she had been late last week and already got in trouble for it she didn't want another scolding, she couldn't afford it. The traffic and the persistent honking even the drivers at the back knew that no one in front had a flying car, she felt very frustrated cause she had a meeting with her as she's to give a presentation but all that is down the drain now, she didn't need a sooth sayer to tell her that this week ain't just it.
One would think the universe is against her or she just has pure bad luck, the traffic starts picking up her car quenches like a deflated balloon
' no, no, no, please, please not today, not today' Bia pleads as she tries cranking the car back to life to no avail, with the persistent honking from behind and the drivers that carelessly run their mouth as they maneuver around her, she gently places her head on the steering wheel as tears cloud her vision. She let's out a huff and inhales deeply, wiping the few tear drops that escaped she tries to stabilize her emotions. She picks up her phone and unplugged the cord connected to it - dialing a familiar number, the soft ringing tune takes her into a day dream as she tries to remember everything that lead up to this moment. Donte's high pitched voice wakes her from her daydream
' B, where the hell you at?
'You're 30 minutes late already'
With a small smile crowning her face she tries hard to keep her emotions at bay - a lone crystal tear slowly slides down her pale face, 'I'm calling in sick today D' her voiced croaked 'I feel unwell, could you please inform Mr Philip'
'Girl, what's wrong, you never call in sick even when you are'
'I'm tired D, I really am' with a sniff she said
'It's alright B, I'll pass your message on to the HR and I'll drop by your place after okay, love you'
'Alright bye and thanks D' with a click the call was ended, she tries to calm her self .
Dialing a different number, she calls her mechanic and explains the whole situation with her car, after the conversation concluded a towing van was to come pick her and her car up so she waited with nothing much to do. Sitting in her car with an engulfing silence she tunes her radio so she can keep her mind preoccupied, with the slow him of her AC in the background she drifts back into her daydream, reminiscing of the past..
A soft rapping sound came from her right waking her from her daydream, she looks and notice it's the towing driver
'Hi miss, you ordered a towing van?'
'Ah yes, I did' 'James sent you I presume'
'Yes miss, I'd take you car to his workshop right after I drop you off'
'Alright, do I need to do anything ?
'Yes, you sign here and take a seat in my truck while I hook your car up' he said as he handed her a paper and a pen
'Okay' Bia replied as she got down from her car taking the document from him to sign it. She climbed into his truck in some what a daze, hoping that her absence from work doesn't come back to bite her.
