Yo! This is my first story. Please go easy on me and enjoy!

It's September 13, 1916 and I'm celebrating my twenty first birthday with my fiancée Alexander at our friends house. Well I was until he disappeared about an hour ago to find another friend. The band is playing, people are dancing, and I find myself alone on the steps in search of my blonde mate. I walked through groups of people and clouds of smoke looking for any sign of him. After checking the entire first floor I started climbing the steps to check the second.

Loud sounds of sex came from every direction as I came up the final step. Becoming embarrassed and nervous I walked down the hall listening for Alex's voice. Maybe he was having a guys chat up here....or maybe he left. Giving up hope I slowly turn around as his beautiful laughter rings through my ears. I hurried to the end of the hallway happy he was still here and threw open the door. The smile melted off my face and I stopped breathing.

Alex's back was to me while he hovered completely naked over a thin brunette. A scream escaped my mouth as hot tears poured from my face.

He turned around looking directly at me, "Shit Sof, you were supposed to stay downstairs."

I stood in the doorway sobbing,"Whats going on? W-who is she? Why...? Y-you said you loved me... We... we're supposed to marry in a month...." I glanced down at my engagement ring.

His expression hardened at me and the girl under him cackled,"Stupid girl! I'm the one he wants, obviously! Now get out we're busy!"

Alex quickly got off the girl to adjust himself,"Quiet Beatrice." Then his eyes met mine, "Sofinya this changes nothing, you will not leave me. Now go wait for me downstairs." He started to button his pants.

"No! I hate you..." I mumbled the last part sniffling and picking up a vase, "You're nothing but a lying pig!"

"Put that down. You're embarrassing me Sofinya." Alex said angry running his hands through his damp blonde hair.

"I'm embarrassing you?! I just caught you cheating on me and you're fucking embarrassed?"I shrieked.

The brunette wrapped her arms around his waist, "Just let her go so we can finish."

Alex spoke harshly, "Do not raise your voice at me! Go downstairs while I get dressed!"

Angered and heartbroken I threw the vase at the two as hard as I could. I heard the glass shatter and the couple gasping, startled at my outburst. I ran through the hallway and down the stairs as fast as I could. Everyone stopped and watched as I burst out the front door crying. Something caught on my dress, shredding off a large amount of blue fabric but I ran regardless.

Still running and choking on my cries, I went through the forest until I reached a large stone bridge. I collapsed at the top and sat there, tears streaming down my face. He was all I had left. He made me leave my family and now I have no one to turn to. What am I supposed to do? Lifting my knees to my chin, I held them tight and sobbed.

Questions ran through my mind and his recent absences made sense. He had a mistress and I almost married him! How could I be so stupid?! I should have known by the pitying looks our "friends" were giving me! It seems so obvious now! I'm such a fool!

I slowly stood and leaned against the side of the bridge, looking at the deep rushing water below. A dark thought crept into my mind and I gripped the moss-covered stone. The wind blew hard as I climbed over on to the ledge. I looked down again, a tear rolling down my cheek. My tattered, blue, mud covered dress swayed with the gust as the moonlight touched my skin.

I let go of the bridge and started to fall forward when two large hands pulled me back. Thinking it was probably Alex I cried out and tried to shove him off.

"Shhhshhhshhh. It'll be alright. Don't cry." An unfamiliar accented voice cooed in my ear. "Why don't we climb back over and talk this out? Hmm?"

I shook my head but the dark cloaked figure lifted me anyway.

"I-I just want to g-get away from h-here. I don't-t want to l-liive." I stuttered out at the man, struggling in his arms.

He held me close and whispered in my ear,"Now now, you can't possibly mean that."

I sniffled and leaned back, "But I d-do. I don't want to feel th-this. I want to die."

My breath hitched in my throat as I finally looked up, taking in his appearance. I stared into his moonlit bright green eyes completely hypnotized. I watched his long black hair dance gently against his milky white complexion. He looked ethereal. A raindrop splashed against my forehead shaking me from my trance.

I felt self-conscious and nervous as he brushed stray strands of hair from my face,"Come now little dove, one as beautiful and innocent as you shouldn't be sad."

"Please sir.." I looked up at him and sobbed."Just walk away and let me die."

He slowly lifted up my chin and looked deep into my eyes " You poor sweet girl. I'll help you but I cannot let you kill yourself."

I pouted as he held me tenderly in his strong arms. I tensed at the attractive strangers embrace. He ran one of his large hands through my long blonde hair, gently tugging my head back. I tried to pull away confused, then he caressed my cheek and his soft red lips pressed against mine for a long, amazing kiss. I held onto his muscular arms as his lips trailed to my neck, my tears stopped and my body writhed. He moved his hands down to my hips to pull me closer. He planted a soft kiss on my warm skin then pulled away a bit.

"Who are you?" I whispered breathlessly.

He chuckled softly, "I am Mutavious, your dark prince."

I tried to move my head but he kept me still. A piercing pain shot through me when his mouth came back down. His teeth were embedded in my soft pale skin. I gasped and he held me tighter, my body lurching beneath him. I felt him sucking forcefully from me, the blood being drained from my body. I started feeling a numbing sensation and I sighed ready for death to take me as everything went black.
