Amity slid down against the front door and stared blankly into space.
She kissed Luz.
On the cheek.
And Luz wanted to kiss her back.
LUZ.
WANTED.
TO.
KISS.
HER.
BACK.
'But she probably hates me now. I mean-maybe I just imagined that she wanted to kiss me back. Yeah. I'll just tell her it was all just a big misunderstanding.'
But she can't face Luz at school tomorrow. No way. It'll be too embarrassing...
She covered her face with her hands. 'What should I do...'
There was a knock on the door. "Hello?"
'LUZ IS STIL HERE???' She almost tripped over herself trying to get up and opened the door. "Um hi Luz-now before you say anything it was just a misunderstanding-"
"Amity."
"An accident, really-I mean, I never meant to kiss your cheek, it just happened-"
"Amity."
"Not that I didn't mean to kiss you-I mean I figured the cheek was better than the lips and didn't want to freak you out or-"
"AMITY."
She stopped talking mid sentence and stared at her.
"About that, uh...thing that happened a minute ago?"
'Here it comes...'
She expected rejection.
For Luz to laugh at her and go "sorry I didn't actually want to kiss you."or "I don't actually like you."
Or to play it off as a joke.
But she didn't expect to feel something soft on her cheek, but she could guess what it was. Her face was a dark red again.
"I wanted to...do it back, so...we're even now byeee-" And she ran off, probably due to nerves about seeing Amity's reaction.
Amity just stood there with the largest grin on her face and somehow managed to make it to her room without passing out.
The older Blight siblings were still processing what had happened through their window. "Well that was...unexpected."
"Let's go tease Amity."
Edric grinned and they closed the window, heading to Amity's room.
(I wish this actually happened tbh.
My second time writing as Amity ahhh-hopefully I did okay->_<
Now off to eat lunch because I'm hungry. :D)
