Practice Run

The next day Eren and Zero Two were heading to a room after being called by Nana to help out with franxx training. "So, how does a franxx works?" he asked her. "Well, it just depends on the partners status with each other. How they feel about each other" she said, getting close to him. "Don't worry, we'll ride fine."

They arrived at the room where the other kids were being explained something. Eren spotted Hiro and said "Hiro, I'm surprise to see you here."

"You're not the only one" Hiro told him. "Their giving me another chance, this time with a new partner."

" So, who wants to be Hiro's partner?" Nana asked. Ichigo raised her hand and volunteer herself. "Who will they be fighting?" the kids asked. "Them" Nana said, pointing at Eren and Zero Two. "What?! We saw how Zero Two rides, she's a pro in this type of stuff" the kids said. "Hold on kids, remember Eren has never actually rode a franxx before. So it'll be like they have a handicap."

"I'm excited to see how to ride these things. My father had supposedly helped made these, maybe he left something for me in them" Eren said. Zero Two looked at him and said "Do you mean the adults?" Eren shook his head and said "No, I'm talking about my father." Zero Two still looked confuse as Eren said "Oh wait, I forgot! You guys don't have parents here."

"I wonder how that feels, to have people to love you since you were born" Zero Two said as Eren felt bad for bringing up his father in the first place. She then smile and said "But I have someone I love, right here." She tapped Eren's chest and giggled. "I told you they were weirdos" Zerome whisper to the kids next of him. Nana cleared her throat and said "Now, would the pilots please report to their franxxs." 

They all headed to the hanger to get equip. Eren and Zero Two couldn't ride her franxx since they didn't have permission from HQ. "You two will have to take this one" Nana said, pointing to one of the other franxx's. "I would rather ride mine, but at least I have my darling" Zero Two said. They got dressed up and Eren said "At least these are easier to put on unlike the 3d gear."

He got out with his new costume and saw Zero Two was waiting for him. She was wearing a red suit that match the other girl's suits. "You ready darling?" she asked him. Eren nodded as they got on the franxx. Eren sat on the chair and Zero Two got on her fours in front of him. Eren stare at her ass for a bit then blush. 'This is a little embarrassing' he thought in his head. Two controllers then popped out of the side of Zero Two's behind. Eren grabbed on to both of them, causing the franxx to transform. "That was easy" Eren said.

"I told you it would be" Zero Two said. In front of them, were Hiro and Ichigo in their franxx. "Ready to kick some ass?" Zero Two asked. "Yup" Eren said, gripping the controls tighter. They started to run at them, but their opponent crashed to the ground. "Time out, give us three minutes" they said. "What happen?" Eren asked. "They're not having a good connection. Remember, to ride one of these you need to have a mental connection with your partner" Zero Two said.

 While waiting for three minutes, Zero Two asked "So darling, what are the walls like?"

Eren looked at her and said "Well, it used to be peaceful. I lived with my parents and adoptive sister. But everything change when the colossal titan came and broke down the walls. I was living in the outer walls, so it affected my town first. My dad was away during the time, but my mother-"

Eren sat there for a bit in silence, remembering his mother's death. "I can guess what happens next, tell me what happen afterwards" Zero Two said. "Well, me and my sister with my best friend joined the cadets. We wanted to train to kill titans. There I met a lot of my friends-"

Soon, their opponent was charging at them. "It hadn't gotten up!" Eren said. They jump over it and the others crashed to the walls. "They tried driving it with one person, they can't do that" Zero Two said. "But you do that" Eren said. "I have a special way to drive it by myself."
