Jasmine was on the phone with someone.
Jasmine: really? I got the call back, when is my second audition process. This week? I don't know I have school and I have to let my brothers know. No I'm taking the opportunity I didn't go to those auditions for nothing. Thank you so much! *hangs up and squeals*
Nia: I'm guessing you got the call back
Jasmine: yeesss!!! You're looking at the first black woman tv family sitcom on disney channel since That's So Raven
Nia: that's awesome Jazz, so explain to me how are you going to tell your brothers this, who won't even allow you in the industry
Jasmine: I don't know
Nia: do they need a sidekick, because I can be your best friend
Jasmine: Nia, Im pretty sure you have to audition
The girls head downstairs to find the boys in a rush to leave.
Jasmine: hey guys I have some exciting news I want to tell you
Nick: That's great honey, can we talk later, we are late for rehearsal
Jasmine: rehhearsal? For what? i thought tour was over
Joe: not for tour, for something else

Stella: so the people don't know you're related to JONAS
Jasmine: nope, got this audition on my own
Stella: and who's your agent?
Jasmine: Nia's mom, she took me to the audition when the boys were on tour. I didn't just party, I also went to a few auditions little does the boys know
Stella: and what's going to happened when they find you on set one day when Disney cast has to reunite to meet each other
Jasmine: now see that will never happened because I'm not even sure if my show has been picked up yet
Stella: what do you mean?
Nia: it's a call back Stella, they're interested in her but she has to get the part first that means the network has to like her
Stella: how do you know so much about this?
Nia: I was with her at her first audition
Stella: and the boys didn't help you at all?
Jasmine: nope, they don't even know I'm a Jonas, I wanted to prove to people I earn this role without the help my brothers. Its not easy for a black actress to have their own tv show. The fact that its been a long time since That's So Raven black show, this would mean a world to my black fans who supports me
Nia: and what about the negative people
Jasmine: what?
Nia: you know the people who think that mixed kids always get special privilege because they're are light skinned
Jasmine: as long as I'm part black they shouldn't care
Nia: they should Jasmine and you too because it's about representation. Why else do you think they hired you and not those other dark skinned people
Jasmine: maybe because of my talent
Nia: Jazz I didn't mean it like that
Jasmine: I know exactly what you mean. Sounds like my best friend doesn't think I'm black enough. Well I know who I am, and I'm proud to be African American *storms off*
Nia: I didn't mean it like that, you have to believe me Stella
Stella: *sighs* I believe you Nia, just let her calm down
Jasmine slammed her bedroom door and pouts for a while, she stares at her nightstand and picks up the picture of her and mom she smiled at her.
Jasmine: I love you mom, just trying so hard to represent our people like you do and it sucks when your best friend doesn't see it like I do *knocks on door* who is it?

Jasmine: come in *puts picture down*
Her brothers had walked into her room and she looked up at them.
Jasmine: rehearsal must have been fast
Joe: Jazz, it's been 2 hrs
Jasmine: what! I have to call them and let them know I accept the offer

Jasmine: Stella didn't tell you why I was upset?
Joe: she just told us that you and Nia got into a fight and that you refused to speak to anyone
Jasmine: well... yeah... Nia kind of said some hurtful things
Joe: what?
Jasmine: she says I'm not black enough
Nick: that doesn't sound like Nia, are you sure she said it in that way
Jasmine: well no not really, but she think Im taking opportunities away from dark skinned black girls and that the only reason I got the audition because I was light skinned
Joe: what audition?
Jasmine: oh yeah... uh... I forgot to mention you guys that small detail when you guys came home from tour.
Joe: you forgot? Or you just didn't want to tell us because you didn't want us to know
Jasmine: *bites bottom lip and twirls hair with her braids* yeah... don't be mad. I wanted to tell you guys but didn't know how because I knew you guys would disapproved
Joe: and you're right we would
Nick/Jasmine: Joe...
Joe: don't Joe me, we told you, you're not taking part of our journey. We want you to just be a kid and enjoy life
Jasmine: how can I enjoy life if I can't do the one thing I want the most. Plus they don't even know I'm a Jonas, I went by my middle name and Mrs. Johnson took me to the audition. You guys put me in musical arts school for a reason
Joe: yeah and it's not to get a job in the industry
Jasmine: look... I saw an opportunity for me and I took it because I want to show more representation for my people, is that so bad
Nick: no it isn't, we just scared foe you kiddo
Jasmine: why?
Frankie: of getting regretted not having a real childhood. Being a child star isn't easy you know, you'll be away from school and friends most of time
Jasmine: well you don't have to worry about that because will be starting filming in the summer
Joe: and what if the show gets picked up for season 2 and you have to film during the school year. You're not
Jasmine: at my school you get extra credit from doing stuff outside of school. Plus we can do our school work online in case we miss anything. Please Joe, I really, really want this
Joe: alright if you take this you can't back out if it, once you sign the contract you're in it for life
Jasmine: does that mean I can go to the callback
Joe: yes
Jasmine: *squeals* thanks Joe *hugs him*
Joe: no problem
Jasmine: thanks Nick and Frankie *hugs them both*
Nick: but one of us has to be there in case we have to sign anything
Jasmine: can you guys let Stella handle it, and she will bring the paper works to you guys so you can sign. I just don't want people to know I'm related to you guys
Joe: alright will allow Stella to sign as long as she contact us
Jasmine: that's all I asked, thanks boys
Joe: dinner will be late, what do you want for take out
Jasmine: I thought grandma said no more junk
Nick: will hire a chef another time, just please Jazz you know none of can't cook
Jasmine: I can, mom showed me
Joe: alright then, go cook for us
Jasmine: can't I need to prepare my food before I cook, maybe next time
Frankie: uh huh, come here!
Frankie tickles Jasmine and she started laughing and Frankie said.
Frankie: come on guys help me out
Jasmine: no!!! *starts to get up but gets push down and starts hysterically laughing*
