|Akemi and Shikamarus relationship| Akemi and Shikamaru grew close during the second part of the Chunin exams, when Akemi's team was rescued by the Ino-Shika-Cho squad. Akemi thanked them profusely, and to show their gratitude they gave the others their scroll. During the third half, Akemi congratulated Shikamaru in his fight with Temari, cheering him on even after he gave up. They went out to eat with Shikamaru and Choji a few times.
|Akemi and Kankuro's relationship| These two were known for getting into comical arguments throughout the first, second, and third parts of the Chunin exams. They began to grow close during Shippuden, warming up to one another. Akemis first impression of Kankuro was that he was a bloodlusting jerk who needed to be put in his place.
