Reagan woke up at the sound of the blaring 7am alarm pounding in her ear. Glaring up at the ceiling, she rubbed her eyes, adjusting them to the brightness emitting from the ceiling lights above her.

Annoyed, releasing a tiered grunt, Reagan leaned over to her night stand and lightly pressed the 'off' button on her yellow heart shaped alarm clock.

The girl let out a sigh as she reluctantly bounced up from her bed and started getting ready for the day.

Opening her small dresser, she picked out the selected outfit that was hand-chosen by Cadamus Labs, and waited till 8:30am for her door to automatically unlock.

Each day had been a repeat of the last. There was never a day that broke the repetitive cycle; breakfast at 9, lab testing at 10, lunch at 12:30, training at 2, and more tests throughout the rest of the day.

Reagan had never fully gotten used to the routine, neither did she want to follow it, but she knew she had no choice.

Once, she had tried to keep her door unlocked the entire night so she would be able to sneak out and roam the streets of San Francisco.

That idea failed.

So, being left with her thoughts once again, Reagan laid there back down and was left with only herself and her memories.

She had 2 brothers and 2 sisters who were all around the ages of 10-15 her being the youngest.

In 2008, when Reagan was only 5, her mother and father were unable to take care of her anymore. They were barely earning minimum wage, let alone scraping enough to feed their entire family, so they knew it was only a matter of time before they ran out of both.

As they were desperately looking for some sort of sign, they stumbled upon the daily newspaper reading; 'CADAMUS NEEDS YOU!'

At the time, Cadamus was a newly established scientific center created by Alexander Joseph Luthor, who was a highly established billionaire, either feared or admired.

Cadamus was desperately needing recruitments and anyone willing to contribute to new discoveries, all in the name of 'science'.

Reagan's parents were hesitant reading the article, as they knew Cadamus's true intentions, but the money Cadamus was willing to pay for any potential test subjects was, in their eyes 'too high to turn down.'

On April 9th 2005, Reagan Leia heiwett was officially enrolled and declared permanently apart of 'The Cadamus future project'.

Snapping herself back to reality, Reagan approached the door handle. As she reached it, she turned her head, facing the wall right beside her and glancing at the only family photo she had.

Smiling, she turned back to the door, took in a deep breath and pulled the handle open, revealing a huge 'Cadamus Labs' sign.

Reagan shot a sarcastic smile towards the sign as she stuck up the middle finger and strutted out of her room.

"Okay, Subjects 362, 264, 638 and 478, are you ready?"

A line of 4 teenagers, roughly the same age as Reagan, were all lined up in front of one of the doors of the testing rooms, awaiting testing.
