Carina wakes up feeling thirsty, even if she is very comfortable she sits up from her bed and makes her way towards her kitchen. From the corner of her eye she can see something moving in the dead of the night. Thinking its only her imagination from waking up so suddenly, she looked away. But the moving didn't stop even after she drank her water and rubbed her eyes.

Walking closer to the window she stares into the night streets. Everything outside is calm, no one is moving, no wind blowing between the trees. Thinking that she has went crazy, Carina decided to go and sleep. As she moved backwards from the window she finally saw what is moving outside.

She saw a blonde woman running down the path of the park, she wore deep blue running tights with pale pink blouse. Carina could see the unknown woman is listening to music through her Bluetooth earphones.

For some reason Carina found herself looking at the woman, who dissappears and reappears every few minutes. Carina can see the woman's struggle even through her fourth floor apartment. She can see an angry determination on her face as she ran faster and faster each time Carina sees her passing below her window.

Carina went to sleep, her mind lingering to the running girl as she fell asleep.

For the next week Carina saw the same girl running around midnight every day, sometimes she would wake up and go to take a glass of water, sometimes she worked till late and she happens to see her. But few times she stayed up late to see if she would run again, and every time she did.

On the 10th night she decided to go out and confront the woman. She can't endure seeing her run and run every night looking each time more and more angry and on the verge of crying.

She sat down on the bench, looking left and right to see the unknown woman running towards her. After few minutes of waiting the blonde ran towards her, the speed of her running being slower then any night in the week.

Carina stood up from the bench, standing in her path. The confused woman came to holt as she saw a gorgeous woman stand in front of her.

"Who are you?" Maya asked, her voice laced with irritation. "My name is Dr. Carina DeLuca" Carina extended her hand for a handshake. Her hand lingered in the air, Maya didn't move an inch to meet it. To Carina, Maya looked rude and annoyed when all she has been is nice to her. But the truth is, Maya is stunned from her beauty.

Carina has her hair in a messy bun, few strings of her hair from the wind were stuck on her face. She wore a simple hoodie with grey trousers. But Carina's brown eyes and her contagious smile make her look so beautiful and so eternal. Maya is lost for words, her heart is beating hard against her chest and its not because she just ran five kilometres without stopping. No, her heart is beating because of the stranger in front of her.

Now Maya is someone who doesn't date, or well Maya-monogamy-is-for-the-weak Bishop. But if she is the very dedicated type of person the woman in front of her is going to be the one she settles down for. But of course she isn't that type of person.

"And?" Maya rudely asked the girl in front of her. Maya can see that her question shocked the brunette, evident hurt on her face, she stopped for a moment. Debating if Carina should just leave or do what she came here to do, was it worth staying up so late just to talk to a very rude person? Yeah Carina started to feel like a crazy person.

"One you don't have to be so rude when I am trying to make conversation, two I have been seeing you for the past 10 days running so late looking troubled and I thought I will ask what's so troubling that you can't sleep" Carina was about to turn away from the woman and walk back into her warm cosy apartment when she heard her speak.
