Spoilers for Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus  --- if you haven't read it, then I don't suggest reading unless you don't care about spoilers.

--------

What if Percy's blood never hit the ground in The Blood Olympus? I think it would look a little like this...

Piper's POV

  "Leo!" Jason cried.

Porphyrion laughed. "You demigods have learned nothing. There are no gods to aid you. We only need one more thing from you to make our victory complete."

The giant smiled expectantly. He seemed to be looking at Percy Jackson.

Piper glanced over. Percy's nose was still bleeding. He seemed unaware that a trickle of blood had made its way down his face to his bottom lip

"Percy, look out! Your nose!" As always, her voice never failed her.

He wiped the blood away with the top of his shirt. "Would a nose bleed seriously start the apocalypse?"

Porphyrion face contorted into that of disgust, "Yes, actually, any blood would work. If you won't bleed than he will."

He looked to Jason and grabbed for him before anyone could do anything.

Jason struggled, but his arms were pinned down by the giants fist and he was out of lightning strikes. Percy propelled himself to help Jason, and Piper tried to yell out.

"PUT HIM-" but for once, Piper's voice failed her. The giant slammed his fist down, when he let go, Jason's neck was twisted in a way necks shouldn't be twisted.

  "Jason..." Piper whispered.

Where his blood spilt, the ground began to sizzle like water on a frying pan.

"Jason." Piper stilled hoped for an answer.

The blood of Olympus water the ancient stones.

"Jason!" Piper yelled, now running to him.

The Acropolis groaned and shifted as the Earth Mother woke.

"JASON!" A guttural cry as she sunk to her knees.

Piper glanced over. Percy's nose was still bleeding. He seemed unaware that a trickle of blood had made its way down his face to the end of his chin.

"Percy, look out..." Piper tried to say, but for once her voice failed her.

A single drop of blood fell from his chin. It hit the ground between his feet and sizzled like water on a frying pan.

The blood of Olympus water the ancient stones.

The Acropolis groaned and shifted as the Earth Mother woke.

Fate has a cruel way of making things go the way it was supposed to, doesn't it?

I'm sorry lol
