The Golden Age, was a time of perfect peace and happiness. Everyday was like spring; flowers bloomed the year round. The men of the Golden Age, the subjects of Cronus, were greatly loved by the gods. They lived very much like gods, without cares or labor. The earth provided them with all the food they needed-acorns, wild fruit, and honey that dripped from the trees. They were rich in flocks and drank the milk of sheep and goats. They knew no pain, no worry, and no wars. They never quarreled.
