24. First kiss

It was a late Friday night. They have had exams/assignments all week and were both exhausted but it is the first time in weeks that they could spend some time together. So they didn't care that it was around 1 AM.

Adrien poured the last bit of the wine into her glass before setting the empty bottle down on the coffee table. He crawled back on the couch, underneath the blanket before wrapping his arms around his girlfriend. He left a kiss on her shoulder and her head. "I can still feel your foot bouncing up and down, little bug." He whispered into her ear.

He felt her stop before she looked up at him. "Sorry." She replied. He moved his hand to her thigh and stroked it. "You're really that nervous?" He asked. Marinette nodded and leaned her head against his chest, playing with her glass. "I'm afraid that it's not going to be good enough." She admitted.

Adrien chuckled and put his head on top of hers. "My love, I have seen it and I thought it was amazing!" Marinette huffed. "You're just saying that because you're my boyfriend." She said as she rolled her eyes and took a sip from her wine.

Adrien sighed and kissed her cheek. "My father also told you it was amazing." Marinette pulled her glass away from her mouth and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "He raised both his eyebrows and said it was good." She simply replied.

"He looked impressed and I know that means it's amazing for my father." He said, giving her another kiss but now on her lips. "Baby, you're a fantastic designer. All of your designs are incredible and you've passed the last two years with amazing grades. Why would you not now?"

Marinette shrugged and took another sip. "I don't know. I guess I'm just overthinking again." She said, playing with his fingers and his miraculous around one. He kissed her head. "Let's change the subject then." He suggested.

She smiled at him and tilted her head. "To what?" Adrien thought for a moment. "What was now our first kiss?" He asked. Marinette chuckled. "You don't remember." She began as she sat down her glass. "In the library, of course. It wasn't very special but it was a beautiful start to our story." She said as she stared into his eyes.

Adrien laughed and grinned at her. "Oh really? That's our first?" He asked. He saw her nod and look at him from the corner of her eye. He raised an eyebrow at her until she gave in. "Okay okay, our first kiss was when Kim was akumatized for the first time."

Adrien frowned. "I thought it was with Oblivio?" He asked, confused. Marinette bit her lip and looked down at their hands. "No actually. There was one before that kiss." She admitted.

Adrien's jaw dropped as he stared at her wide-eyed. "Excuse me?" Marinette looked at him and gave him an apologetic smile. "Yeah, you got shot by an arrow and the only reason to get you out of it was by kissing you." His eyes narrowed "You sure it's not because you wanted to kiss me?" He smirked.

Marinette playfully rolled her eyes and flicked his nose. Adrien grinned at her and wrapped her into a hug. "I can't believe I didn't know this. Why didn't you tell me?" He asked her. Marinette shrugged and got herself comfortable in his chest again. "Well you didn't know so I figured it was best to not tell you because I knew you weren't gonna stop talking about it."

She looked at him and frowned. "I'm a horrible person." She told him. Adrien laughed and kissed her head. "No, you're not. You're completely right. I would not have stopped. I was way too annoying."

"You were." She smiled at him. "But i loved it." She winked. He leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Well thank god."
