"Psht. Psht. Listen you mothertruckers!" I whispered lowly to the bunch of my idiotic friends who had this great idea to explore this creepy as fudge place.

I couldn't imagine what the house would be like on the inside when I was getting chills just by looking at its ghastly outwardly appearance.

"I think we shouldn't be here. It's smart on my part and totally ridiculous on yours if you think we should be. You're all going to get us spooked." I murmured looking around the dead silent courtyard of the house.

Adorned with tall, bladder-brown trees scattered towards long stretches of wilderness, their branches extending outwards, looking like a witch's long fingers, seeming as if they would spring to life any moment and grab us into the darkness of the night. A pungent odour oozed around us which was making me nauseated. The gloomy air blew softly, caressing my skin in a disgusting manner, making goosebumps arise on my flesh. No doubt the scenic beauty of it didn't help me much, making me even more paranoid.

We shouldn't be here... This was worse, we could probably end up being gobbled up by the unknown creatures of the night and I had no intention of becoming dead juicy meat for them.

"Hey! Will you guys listen to me?" I whisper-yelled at them.

"Aesira, will you stop talking? Nothing will happen. Be brave, own up to the meaning of your name." Kenna shouted at me.

Why am I even friends with this bitch?

Ignoring her crude remark, I turned to my best friend.

"Mel, please. Let's get out of here. At least you listen to me." I pleaded with her but she smiled at me assuringly.

"It's going to be okay, Ira, there's nothing cursed about this place. It's just made up things. Come on, I'll protect you." She grabbed my hand in hers and tugged me along. We were moving closer and closer to the supposedly cursed house and with every step I was taking forward, I had this strong urge to flee.

Was I the only one feeling like this? Why couldn't they sense the spookiness in the air? Was I going barmy with worry and fear?

Suddenly, I heard the howling of a wolf in the far distance.

I abruptly came to a halt.

"Okay, we're getting out of here. Didn't you guys hear that?" I gasped in panic when they all just looked at me like I've gone crazy.

"Hear what?" Kenneth, Kenna's twin brother replied.

"The howling?!" I shouted at them exasperated and afraid out of my wits.

"No, we didn't hear anything..." Mel replied.

This shit right here was getting creepier and creepier by the minute.

"Please, I don't want to be here. I... I..." I started to panic but I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. I flinched thinking my time was near.
