제1장

{Yeojin POV}

I was playing in the sandbox alone building a sandcastle at my local park. I was humming and enjoying myself until a boy walked up to ask me,"can I play with you too?". I looked up and nodded. We played in the sandbox for a really long time until," Yeojin! Time to go home!" The boy and I looked at each other. "OK OMMA (mom)! I'm coming!"

"You're leaving already?" The boy asks while looking sad. I started giggling and responded,"I'll be back next week!" He smiled. "OK! See you then!"

I was about 5 years old when I meet him. Every week I would be excited to see him. We would always play together and enjoy each other's company. School was about to start which meant that I couldn't go to the park and see him anymore. Before school started, and it was our last time hanging out together, we made a promise. I never knew the boys name since, well, we were practically strangers.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. Oh, it was just a dream. I woke up, threw on a dress for school, and headed downstairs for breakfast. "Good morning, omma (mom)." I greeted my mom in the morning. "Good morning Yeojin! You better hurry before the train leaves." My mom put a stack of pancakes on my plate,"kamsahamnida (thank you)" After I finish breakfast, I head towards the train station.

When I got to school, it was already 7 in the morning. Today is the beginning of a new school year and that means new school and new friends. I was a 2nd year student entering into my 3rd year. It was almost time to start the beginning of the year ceremony for the students. I started heading out to the gym where the ceremony was taken place until I heard, "OMG!!! Look! ITS THEM!". When I turned around, I saw 7 well fitted guys walking in a group. All the girls formed a circle around them and started handing them things like gift bags and teddy bears. I ignored the girls and started heading out to the gym.

When I got to the gym, I was assigned to a seat. I'm guessing we have assigned seats. The ceremony didn't start until 8:30 so I had time to kill. I grabbed my book from my back and start reading it. While I was reading, I heard someone coming close to me. "Hi! I'm Seon! 3rd year student! What about you?"

I looked up. It was a girl with brown hair, tied up in a ponytail. I greeted her, "Hi. I'm Yeojin. I'm also a 3rd year student." She sat next to me and asked,"I haven't seen you around before... Are you new?" I nodded. "Ahh I see. Well here's a few things to know." I closed my book up and started listening. "First, don't act shy, especially to the 'popular' crowd. Second don't..." At that time, girls started screaming. "BANGTAN!"

We looked behind us and yet again, it was them. For some reason, they look kind of cool. "That's Bangtan." She points towards them, "they are a boy group from Big Hit Entertaining. They're trainees right now but they're going to debut next year. Not only that but they're scholars as well, but be careful. Don't hang with them." I gave her a questioning look, "why not?" "Just trust m... Wait, why is he coming here?" She points toward a guy clearly from Bangtan.

She starts hitting my shoulder and whispers,"it's him, it's him, it's him!!" "Wait I thought you didn't care about Bangtan?" I gave a doubtable look. "Well it's not that I don't care about them, it's just bad karma just hanging out with them."

Just then, one of the Bangtan member sits next to me. I start getting stiff. The ceremony was about to begins. "Hi, don't mind me." The guy says next to me. When I looked at him, he had nice facial features. No wonder girls like Bangtan. We didn't make any contact with each other.

After the ceremony, we were given our class schedules. My first class was social studies. I start heading to class.
