Abner knocks on Berry's bedroom door in the morning.
Their personal cook, Abner, was their family's butter. Nathan adopted Berry years ago, when he found her unconscious near a riverbank.
She was just eleven years old when she first visited his mansion, and she was hurt since her head was bleeding profusely and she was knocked out.
After the accident, she developed amnesia.
Berry's father inquires, "What happened? Don't worry, she'd be dancing." as he approaches Berry's bedroom door.
He knocks as well, but the door glides open as if it had already been unlocked.
They went inside Berry's bedroom.
Nathan's heart is beating faster with each passing second since he hasn't seen his daughter.
"Berry." Abner says, checking the washroom as well, but she isn't there.
He heard a clip of her voice on the recording. "I have to travel to New York and see my family. Sorry, you kept me away to protect me; you can be furious, but forgive me. "I love you, dadaa," she adds. Nathan's limbs felt so weak as he fell to the edge of the bed. When he heard this, his eyes stopped at her unicorn soft toy.
He recalls his daughter's fascination with unicorns.
Flashback
"Berry, Berry, look at what Dadaa brought for you." Nathan said to her.
He placed a package in front of her, wrapped in gift wrap.
She was perplexed as she looked at her father.
With her little, pudgy hands, she accepted the present package.
Her eyes sparkled as soon as she opened them, and she rushed over to embrace her father.
"I love you, dadaa." she replied as she kissed him on the cheeks with her grin.
Looking at his daughter made Nathan's heart feel heavy, but he smiled and held her warmly.
"You are dadaa's life, princess." he said while kissing her forehead.
The flashback ends.
Nathan stared at the unicorn stuffed animal, clutched it, and sobbed.
"She abandoned us." he said, shaking his head and weeping again.
Nathan's mother, Chole, approached her son, her heart breaking as she saw her son's situation, but she felt sympathy for him since she knew how much her son loved his daughter.
"She cares a lot about us." Chole murmured, her hand on Nathan's shoulder and a sympathetic look on her face.
"Why did she abandon us and flee?" he inquired.
"She had to go one day." she said as she sat next to her son.
"Yes, will she forget us by going to them?" he murmured. "I couldn't fill the emptiness in her life. "What will I do?" he mused.

Berry's POV
"Thank you so much." I paid the taxi driver while going down from the cab.
My flight landed here in New York in the morning, and thankfully, I got a taxi right in front of the airport.
I smiled at the large iron entrance gate of Rayer's mansion.
I still remember that day when I first came here.
Flashback
Berry, a ten-year-old from the slums of New York, and her pals arrived at the big gate of the opulent Rayer estate.
Berry was taken when she was five years old by a child abduction group, which abducts tiny children and then exploits them as orphans to beg wealthy adults for help.
"Wow, I think we're going to make a lot of money here." she stated to her pals, who nodded as they gazed at the opulence of the estate.
Berry is unaware that this opulent estate is her true residence.
Her mother, her father, and the rest of her family reside here.
They had a peek around while a charity event was taking place on the mansion's enormous lawn.
"They are really rich people; we will get a lot of charity." Berry chuckled.
She looks around and hears about charity. She goes to get the charity.
Berry was walking around to find someone to ask for charity, but her eyes stopped at chocolate muffins. She hadn't had breakfast since the morning because she hadn't been able to get proper food at the slum house where she lives with other kids.
Berry has never eaten chocolate muffins, but she always wanted to, so she goes after that waiter.
But before she can approach him, Anaya, her friend, stops her.
"Come with me, we're here for charity, not chocolate muffins." she said to Berry.
Berry approached a woman who was wearing an expensive gown.
"Will you give us charity?" she asked that woman, but that woman frowned at Berry with a disgusted look and went away shaking her head.
"These rich people are really bad, as Samira's mom always said about them." she said quietly.
Samaria is one of the members of the kidnapping gang. She is the one who kidnapped Berry.
Until then, she is caring for all of the children she abducted in the slum.
Berry's eyes stopped at the chocolate muffins. She quickly took one muffin from the plate kept on the table.
Berry looked at Bethany and suddenly felt like family, like Bethany was no stranger like she knew Bethany. As Bethany was holding Berry's hand, her touch seemed very familiar, like a motherly feeling was coming from her and they both don't know that they are mother and daughter.
Bethany herself is unaware of the fact that her five-year-old daughter Kristi was kidnapped.
"Stealing is bad." Bethany said, smiling at Berry.
"I was not stealing." Berry defended herself.
"It is stealing if you take anything without asking or informing." Bethany told her.
"Right, this muffin looks very tasty. Can I eat it? " and quickly ate the entire muffin.
Bethany laughs, seeing her "How is the taste?" she asked her.
"It's amazing, something was missing." Berry murmured, munching the muffin.
Bethany asks, "What?"
Berry says, "I don't know, but something is missing." She sees the shining pendant that Bethany was holding.
She says, "This pendant won't look good if someone doesn't wear it. Shall I take it?"
Bethany laughs. She says, "You worry about everything."
"It's special, right?" Berry says.
Bethany recalls her five-year-old daughter Kristi and this pendant of hers.
Berry says, "I'm not fond of wearing pendants, but I dance well."
Bethany's eyes lit up upon hearing her words, "Really, you know the dance?"
Berry says, "I want good sleep, chocolate muffins, and dance." Bethany smiles while listening to her.
She thinks my Kristi would be around her age, staring lovingly at Berry.
Flashback ends.
