I was headed to the bar listening to some music, and thinking about some escape routes around town, it's good that here there were no packs, maybe just one or two old vamps, still using the blood donors, that i am aware of. I went inside and said hi to tom, but i was too occupied with the wolf and chase from yesterday to give him more of attention

I was washing a big beer glass when Tom came to me. "What's up honey, you aren't yourself today, is something wrong?" with a concerned look on his face he put his hand on the glass. I realized i haven't talked to him all day and it's been 3 hours already since i got there.

"I'm sorry Bee, i have some shit to get taken care of today, and i don't know if i'll be able to, so i'm a little worried"

He looked me clearly not understanding what's going on "Is it about school? If you need some help, me and Steph would love to help." He couldn't get any more precious, truly the best person ever. I might even tear up.

"Thank you so much Bee, i really appreciate it, but i have to fix it alone" i went around the bar and next to him, and gave him a tight hug. But just when i pulled away i sensed a familiar presence, the bell on the door rang, alarming us for a new customer. When i turned around i saw a tall man, probably around 22 years old, with brown short hair, brown eyes and strange smile.

It was him, that was the wolf from last night. I got behind tom to hide myself from him, but he was already watching me. There was no escape anymore, so i got behind the bar knowing that he wouldn't do anything in front of the humans. I think there's a law against humans knowing freely about us. Mainly mates and close friends of the members know of our existence, my auntie said.

The man walked straight to me and sat on the bar looking directly in my eyes

"One big whiskey please" he asked me, taking out his phone and texting someone.

I was so grateful at that moment for my lenses, I gave him his whiskey and some ice. And moved to the other part of the bar, so i can be away from him.

"Could i get a refill please?"

"Yes, ofcourse" annoyed i went to take his glass and give him a new one. "What is your name, pretty wolf" my heart was pounding in my head, i couldn't think anymore.

"Lyra" i said pointing towards my nametag and gave him his whiskey

"well Lyra, would you like to come to my pack and live away from this small town that can't give you anything?" he said a bit quieter so that other people don't hear him

"First of all, if you don't have the manners, or brain capacity, to tell me your name first before saying anything else, you don't deserve any more of my attention, than a regular customer does" i said turning around to wipe the bar. I could hear a low gorwling, and then chuckles. "Second of all, i'm sure i prefer staying in this small town forever, than living with you for 15 minutes"

"You think you're pretty funny don't you?" his eyes were glowing from rage

"If i was trying to be funny, i would be laughing, do i look like i enjoy myself?" i said looking him dead in the eyes. He was about to get up, when Tom came to save me.

"Is something wrong here? Do you need anything sir?" he said coming next to the bar so he could stand next to me and watch the person. Then i looked around and i could see that some of our usual clients are staring at us.

"No, thanks. I was just leaving" smashing a 20 dollar bill on the plot, he leaned closer to the bar and me and said "And LYRA, my name is Jackson, better remember it" staring daggers at me and Tom, he got up and left.

" did that guy do something to you?"

"No, no he didn't. Thank you for helping me"

"Always, but what was his problem?"

I didn't know how to answer so i just stayed quiet. The rest of the evening went fine, nothing unusual.

And it was finally the end of the day, but for the first time i didn't want to go home. Tom asked me if i wanted him to walk me home, but i didn't want him to get hurt, so i said no. And i was alone, everyone left, i was alone at the bar. I locked every door. and went to the second floor, the attic, there was a window on top of the roof that could be closed from the outside if you hit it really hard. So i got out of there without a problem because of my vampire super strength. At this point i was just standing there like cat, low on the roof observing to see if there were any suspicious people around. In this small town there aren't people that i haven't seen at least once. When i was sure that everything was clear around the bar, i started jumping from roof to roof. Silent, moving like shadow, i reached my street, and stopped. This is not right. I should've seen him already, somewhere, looking for me. Trying to catch me. He's planning something, i should be cautious. So i sat in the shadow of a chimney, I took out my pack of death, and an energy drink that i got from the bar, put my earbuds in one ear and got ready for the night.

After awhile i was smoking and i noticed a dark silhouette moving next to the front door, i stopped my music immediately,  and turned my ears "...could've gone through the window....... been waiting for 5 hours already...... sure this is the place.....should we go inside to check?"

I couldn't hear everything because they were whispering, but from what i heard, he is not alone, they are at least 2 or 3. I waited, and after 5 minutes the front door of the building opened, and 4 men got inside one by one looking around, i was watching them as they got to my apartment, my eyes started glowing so bright that my lenses couldn't hold the color. These idiots are going inside my place. They were inside and going around my kitchen, bathroom and room. Jackson was in my room, he was... taking something from my wardrobe. Wait, what is that? i focused myself on him and leaned closer to see what was he doing.

I can't believe it.
