Ch.4 Old Friends

I woke up to the pain in my rib .
I winced , but then soon realized a strong grip held onto me .
Then , all of the memories flooded my mind .

The warm , minty breath on my neck gave me goosebumps.

I tried to turn over , but that just made the grip on my stomach tighter .
I let out a tiny cry and the grip softened .
"Sorry" I heard the unmistakeable voice of Alex mumble .

He let go completely , allowing me to turn over .
I was face to face with Alex and his sleepy green eyes .

My eyes got heavy again , but I could feel his stare burn right through me .
An awkward cough was let out at the door .
I jumped but just flipped the person off .
"Time for breakfast" Glenn's voice filled the air .

"But I'm comfy" I whined .
"If you wdon't get out this very moment , I will tell everybody you two slept together " he said chuckling .
"No one would believe you" I said .
"You'd be surprised " he said .

I jumped straight out of bed , bad idea , pain shot through my side .
I slipped into my combat boots and Alex quickly followed behind .
I followed Glenn downstairs to see everyone eating and laughing .

I walked up to Carol and so did Alex .
She gave me a bowl of dried cereal and at that moment I heard him .
"EV'RY ONE !" Glenn shouted .
I froze in place and just stared daggers at him .

"ALEX AND LIV SLEPT TOGETHER!"he shouted so loud the whole prison could hear.
I heard a bunch of 'aww's and 'ooo's .
I rolled my eyes and sat down at the table Beth was at with Judith .

Alex sat beside me , and Beth looked up .
" well?" She asked staring at us.
"No" I said simply and ate my cereal .
"I heard Glenn has condoms" Beth said and when she did I chocked on my cereal .

"BETH!" I yelled and she just laughed .
I turned to look at Alex and he was laughing his head off .
"Does this not bother you?" I asked annoyed .
"Nope , " he said and continued on with his terrifying laugh .

"GAWD , you people are sick " I said trying to keep a straight face , but i couldint , I burst out in laughter only making the two laugh more !
Carl and his friend Patrick came and sat down at the table we were at .

"There're are other tables" I said rolling my eyes .
" oh we know" carl said smirking .
"No but seriously " Beth said , I turned slowly .
"Beth , oh mah gawd ... " I shook my head in disappointment .
"IM 14 YEARS OLD!" I screamed and laughed .

She just shrugged "it's the apocalypse , the least you could do is make the best of it" she said and smiled at Judith .
I couldint hold it in , I burst in laughter and at one point I almost cried from happiness .
Could that day get any better ?

I looked over at Alex and he was laughing too , cheeks flushed with red .
My cheeks were drenched with red , I could feel it .

I looked up at Carl and Patrick and they seemed clueless as to what's happening .
That just made me laugh even more .
I looked at Alex and he looked confused as to why I was laughing so hard , so I just pointed to Carl and Patrick .

"Oh" Alex said and was holding back a laugh .
The end of his lips went up , and he was trying not to laugh .
We finished eating our cereal and I gave the bowl to Carol .
"Need some help?" I asked , as looked me up and down , "you should get some rest" she said and continued cleaning out the bowls .

"But I-" " no buts , your on bed rest , get Alex to keep you company" she said and shooed me away .
"K , fine" I said and shuffled away .
I walked outside
