I'm sorry

Rilyne woke up with a startle when she heard her bedroom door being opened extremely agressively. Scott stormed in, his face red with anger. Rilyne knew he was about to explode so she braced herself.

'WHAT THE FUCK RILYNE, THAT BITCH STOLE ALL OF OUR MONEY' Scott screamed. Rilyne jumped, her face gone ghostly pale. She could feel her heart sink, and she immediately started picking the skin around her fingernails, like she always did during these moments.

'I-' she began, not really knowing what to say. 'YOU TOLD ME SHE WAS TRUSTWORTHY NOW WE HAVE NO FUCKING MONEY' Scott yelled. His temper was only getting worse by the minute. 'H-how did she get into your room? I thought- you always locked it?' she questioned, trying not to tremble. She hated the power he had over her. 'THAT DOESN'T MATTER - OK? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO PUT THE BLAME ON ME?' Scott yelled back. Rilyne picked at her nails nervously, she couldn't help but feel guilt for letting the girl into their apartment. 'Look I didn't mean to-' Rilyne started, but she was cut off when Scott threw her lamp against the wall, a couple inches from Rilyne's head. Rilyne froze.

'Look Rilyne, this is your fault so your going to fix it.' Scott ordered. Rilyne, still frozen in fear, whispered quietly. 'How?'. 'Well you're going to attend this bitches school, ruin her little life and get our fucking money back once you find out where she lives, and.... you're going to make sure you do it right'. Rilyne nodded slowly, her hands were beginning to tremble.

As Scott turned to leave, Rilyne whispered quietly 'I'm sorry'.

Rilyne sat on her bed in shock. Scott hadn't had one of his fits in at least 6 months, she really believed he was done with them. What she couldn't believe was that he threw her lamp just a couple inches away from her head. He had threatened to hurt her before but he had never attempted to. Did he aim the lamp for her?

Once she got over her initial shock she pushed herself out of her bed and started getting her school stuff ready for tomorrow. 'Shit, where did I put my history books?' Rilyne questioned as she looked through the pile of crap she throws in the corner of her room and never puts away. She gave up looking for them, and instead packed all of her other subjects books that she had bought three days ago.

Scott hadn't been too concerned about her starting school immediately, so Rilyne had the first week living there free of school. She hated school in her old town. Before her parents had died, she was quiet enough and not a lot of people even knew her name. After her parents died, all they could talk about was her. She hated the way they looked at her in the hallways. Some people looked at her in pity while others stared suspiciously. They really thought Rilyne and her brother had something to do with her parents deaths. Rilyne almost laughed at the thought, she knew Scott wasn't an angel but he was a mess when they died. That's when he started taking his anger out on Rilyne and getting drunk and high when he needed a coping mechanism.

She did a quick instagram stalk to find out what kind of person Kelly is. Her instagram basically confirmed Rilyne's biggest nightmare.

Kelly was popular. And not just a little popular, like this girl had 25,000 followers on her instagram account. Basically because of her perfect hair, her perfect clothes, perfect friend group and perfect jock boyfriend.

How the hell is Rilyne supposed to get close to her?
