Previously…

“Why don’t we just put everything behind and start all over again. I’ll pretend like you aren’t with him, and we’ll be fiends.” he offered.

I smiled at the idea. That’s what I needed right now, a friend.

“I’m Sam.” he said holding his hand out for me to shake. I shook his hand and felt a jolt of electricity go through my arm as he held my hand.

“I’m Angela.” I said smiling. I haven’t felt this way in a while, not since I left Terence.

Sam’s POV

I know that I’m not supposed to be close to Angela because she’s the reason why Trish and Kevin aren’t together anymore, but there’s just something about her that makes me want to know her more. Saying that I like her is an understatement; I’ve liked her since the first time I laid my eyes on her.

I feel like I’ve met her before, but I don’t know where. You know that feeling you get when you try to remember something or someone, but you just can’t; that’s how I feel.

It’s been a week since we ‘reintroduced’ ourselves. I feel bad though because I feel like I’m stabbing Trish in the back, but I really like Angela. The weird thing though is that she acts like she’s not even in a relationship with Kevin…I wonder why though. Maybe they broke up? I hope so, that guy’s a douche.

“Hey!” Angela said jumping out of nowhere.

“Oh hey!” I said grinning like a mad man. “You scared me.”

“You don’t look too scared. You were day dreaming, which is dangerous while you’re walking you know.” she teased.

“I’m hungry. Let’s go out for lunch?” I asked.

“Sure, but aren’t your friends going to look for you?” she asked.

“Nah. I told them I had to leave. Let’s go.” I said grabbing her hand.

We both got in the car and drove off to the pizza shack. Angela turned up the radio when she heard ‘Is It You’ playing and sang along.

I'm looking for a lover not a friend
Somebody who can be there when I need someone to talk to
I'm looking for someone who won't pretend
Somebody not afraid to say
The way they feel about you

And I'm looking for someone who understands
How I feel
Someone who can keep it real
And who knows the way
The way I like to have it my way
And I'm looking for someone who takes me there
Wants to share
Shows he cares
Thinkin' you're the one that I've been waiting for

Is it you? Is it you?
Maybe you're the one I've been waiting for
Could you be the one for me?
Could you be the one I need?

She continued to sing the song till it finished. “I didn’t know you could sing.” I said impressed. She really does have a nice voice.
