Pink Water Bottles

I hate my younger brother.

Not all the time, just enough for me to shoot daggers at the back of his head and fume on the inside.

Now I understand it wasn't really his fault. I mean it was, but in all honesty I can't blame him for running out of the boys locker rooms and forgetting his bright pink water bottle, even though it's bright pink! I went in there once and almost threw up. Why I was in the boys locker room? That, my dear friends is to stay a secret until the day I die of my own cooking. Along with the rest of my family of course. I'm not going down alone.

My brother dearest had tasked me with the mission of returning him his water bottle that he had misplaced so I didn't have to hide his thirst deprived body after school. He asked me to do this right at the beginning of drama of course, just my favorite class of all time. Even though we were a year and a half apart we were in the same class as we took an elective together. Which was always great! Not.

Now, all I had to do was tell the teacher that I was going to go to the bathroom right as she was starting her lesson. Easy but I was mad that my brother from earlier this morning and I was yet to receive an apology. I really should just let my brother die of thirst but I'm not that mean and I did actually have to use the bathroom anyway.

So against my better judgment I raised my hand and glared at mister thirsty as I waited to be noticed. I felt my phone buzz in my hand and looking at it I saw that my darling brother had texted me. I opened it and saw a thx! underneath the multiple texts my brother had sent me asking me to get his water bottle. I looked up to see Ms. DeVito was nodding towards me letting me know I could use the bathroom and scowling at my brothers head once more I left the Drama room and headed towards the direction of the boys locker room.

I opened my phone and responded to my brothers text before looking through my songs to find something to listen to. I scrolled through my songs before finding I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry. As I listened to it I thought through why I had even left to get my brothers water bottle when he could have gotten it himself. "Oh ya! He lost bathroom privileges after skipping class chilling in the bathroom for the entire period." I mumble softly to myself reliving my brothers stupidity.

Finally reaching the the locker room I reached out to turn the handle preparing myself for the smell instead I end up dropping my phone. "Shit!" I hissed reaching out to grab my phone. Thankfully I did not crack the screen but I had accidentally opened up my camera settings when I had dropped my phone. I let out a sigh of relief to find my phone was fine and I again reached out to open the door this time using my other hand.

I try to exit camera but end up taking a picture I sigh and mutter out "Fuck." to the empty locker room. Looking up I see that my claim that the room was 'empty' was very much wrong. Frowning I saw the football captain and his bestie very close. I realized that my song was still playing so I turned it off and went to see what the photo was to see what they had been doing before I interrupted. As I look at the photo I chuckle to see I have photographic evidence of the captain and his 'bestie' kissing. This is perfect.

"How much?" I look up the see Charles the football captain looking intently at me with his arms crossed. I tilt my head slightly and furrow my brows acting as if I don't understand what he is asking me to do. I do of course but reactions people, reactions. "How much do I have to pay you to pretend you never saw this?" he asks with a scowl on his face. I bend over laughing realizing he wasn't paying any attention to the fact that I had taken a picture. "Oh honey," I tell him in a honey coated voice, "No amount of cash is gonna make me forget this." I saw looking at him with an innocent expression.

I turn to look over at Sam, the bestie I mentioned earlier who is currently a very dark shade of red holding himself while looking very intently at the floor. "Sam dear!" I call out and see Charles move to stand protectively in front of him, "Leave him out of this." he tells me sternly. "Here's the deal, either you let me talk to him, you give me your number and the photo stays hidden," I pause for the dramatic effect seeing he eyes widen. "Or, you don't let me talk to him and I expect this photo will be seen all over school within 30 minutes at most." I tell him keeping eye contact the entire time. He scowls once more and steps aside not speaking as I walk past him and face Sam who refuses to make eye contact.

I turn to once more look at Charles, "Phone number, then leave." I turn away and smile at Sam who is still refusing to look at me. I hear shuffling next to me coming from Charles but I continue to silently stare at Sam until I hear the locker room door close.

"Here's the deal, the photo stays hidden and you help me with 10 different tasks I will assign to you, or I reveal the photo." I state simply to Sam watching as he finally looks at me. "Fine," he mumbles in response, "But don't involve Charles, I'm the one that kissed him." he finishes. "Then it seems we have a common goal." I say to him before turning to find where Charles wrote down hid number. If your wondering why I chose the number 10 you will be disappointed to find I also don't know the answer.

Walking towards the bench there I see a folded piece of lined paper. I almost feel shocked to see Charles the dimwit that he is had actually followed my instructions. After opening the paper just to make sure Charles had actually wrote down something I left the locker rooms looking back once to see Sam with the heals of his palms pressed into his eyes. Poor thing, looks like it needed a hug from a special someone, Charles, cough, Charles.
