Intro to Just Friends?

Okay so I'm pretty new to this whole writing this but I guess I have a shot just like everyone else. So I hope you enjoy the story and feel free to comment and vote. :)

-------------------------------------------The beginning of summer break is finally here! I've been waiting to get out of that hell hole.

I mean hey I'm just like any other 17 year old. Junior year always sucks and when summer comes you're literally sprinting to the beach (which was what I'm planning on doing).

Every year my family and I go on vacation to our sunmer cabin in Florida. It's always so beautiful down there and this year I get to bring my best friend Tyler. Now I know what you're thinking, Tyler? A boy? To answer you're question, he's gay. But he's the perfect person to bring. We have the same interests like boys, food, and the beach. Good enough for me and its cool with my mom.

Yeahhh I don't actually have a dad. It's just my mom, my older brother Sam, and me. I know it's not much but it's a family to me. Currently Tyler and me were fighting at the gas station about coffee and energy drinks.

"Why would you drink these they are totally bad for you!", Tyler's always been over dramatic. " 'Cause they taste good and I do what I want child", I was trying to keep my voice down because now people were staring. Tyler leans over and goes "Fine, whatever you want princess." He slapped my butt and went over to the counter to pay for our things.

This is what I'm talking about. The boy took over a year to admit he's gay but still can't keep his hands off of me! Knowing Tyler for almost 8 years, I know he's always kidding but I also know he doesn't want to give himself away. He's still not very open about the whole gay thing. Which is fine by me.

I see Tyler striding back over and grabbing my wrist pulling me out the door. We get into his car and he pushes his body so he's looking at me. He then says, "I have one mission this summer Rhia". "And what's that?" , I say while glaring at him. "We're gonna get you a boyfriend". My mouth drops and he just starts chuckling. " Like I could pull that off Ty. I'm a walking disaster waiting to happen". "You're telling me", he says under his breath. I swat his chest and we start back in the road.

We decided to drive separate because I can't stand mom snoring in the car. Plus we brought a lot of stuff so we needed two vehicles. Sam and mom took Sam's car, and Tyler took me in his.

This is going to be the best summer yet.
