My Wish Come True

"Hello?"
"Hey Mer. It's Charlie. How are you?"
"Charlie! I'm great. Maks and I are coming home from lunch with Val and Jenna."
"Oh fun."
"So what's up Charlie? Miss me?"
"Of course I miss you. So do Tanith, and the kids."
"Aw. How are Mason and Kamri?"
"They are great. They are getting so big."
"Oh you'll have to send me a picture! I need to see them."
"How about I do you one better? We were thinking about coming to L.A. Well actually we are leaving to come visit L.A. tomorrow."
"What?! Seriously?!"
"Yes we are flying out tomorrow."
"Charlie! How did you keep this from me?"
"It was hard but we wanted to surprise you."
"Oh I'm so excited!"
"Mer what going on?" Meryl forgot that Maks was in the car.
"Oh sorry. Charlie, Tanith and the kids are coming to visit tomorrow!"
"Oh awesome! For how long?"
"Charlie, how long will you guys be in L.A?"
"We'll be there for a week."
"Oh that's great! I can't wait."
"Tell him we'll pick them up from the airport tomorrow."
"Charlie, we will pick you guys from the airport tomorrow."
"Oh thanks but we rented a car and it will be there waiting for us."
"Aw ok. Maks, they rented a car and it will be at the airport waiting for them. How about you guys come over when you get here?"
"Sure. We'll check into the hotel and then come over. Our flight lands at 1pm so we could do dinner."
"Sounds great. We'll have dinner ready."
"Thanks Mer. Can't wait to see you both. I've got to go. I have to go pick Mason and Kamri up from day care. See you tomorrow."
"Yes, see you tomorrow. Love you Charlie."
"Love you too Mer."

Meryl was putting the pasta in the water when the doorbell rang. Maks was out back grilling the chicken. Meryl rushed over to the door and opened it.
"Aunt Meryl!" Mason rushed into her arms. His twin Kamri was quick to follow.
"Hi" she said as she kissed both of their heads. She then put them down and they took the bag that Tanith was holding, which was full of toys and ran to the living room to play.
Charlie pulled her into a hug. "Hi Mer."
"Hi."
Meryl then pulled Tanith into a hug.
"Meryl, you look great!"
"Aw thank you. So do you."
"Where is Maks?" Charlie asked looking around.
"He is out back grilling the chicken."
Charlie started walking out to Maks.
"So Tanith, what do you all have planned for this trip?"
"We are going to take a trip to Disney Land and spend some time with you guys of course."
"And you and Charlie are going to have a day to yourselves while Maks and I are going to take care of Mason and Kamri."
"Oh Mer. You guys don't have to do that."
"No we want to. We don't get to spend that much time with them and we want to make use of this visit."
"Aw thank you. What day will work for you?"
"How about Wednesday?"
"That works."
"Great!" Meryl stirred the pasta and started on the vegetables. Tanith saw the fruit sitting out and washed them. Charlie and Maks came back in as Meryl was draining the pasta.
"Hi Tanith" Maks put the chicken down and hugged her.
"Mer, is there anything else I can do?" Maks asked and kissed her forehead.
"No. Everything is done."
"Great, let's eat."
"Mason, Kamri. Come here. Let's go wash your hands." Tanith and Charlie took their twins to the bathroom to use the bathroom and wash up before dinner.
When they came back to the dinning room Charlie and Tanith helped the twins into their seats. Mason sat in between Charlie and Tanith and Kamri sat in between Meryl and Maks.
"So Mer, Tanith told me you guys are going to watch Mason and Kamri on Wednesday. Thank you."
"You're welcome. We can't wait to spend time with these two cutes." Meryl smiles at Kamri who was stuffing her mouth with broccoli.
They finished their dinner and then hung out for a little longer. Charlie and Tanith decided to leave at 7:30 since it was the twins bed time. They all said goodnight.

Meryl was in the shower still when Charlie and Tanith arrived with the twins.
"Hi Mason. Hi Kamri. Ready to have a fun day?"
"Yes!" they both said in unison.
Tanith explained their normal nap times and other information they might need before kissing her children and leaving.
When Meryl came down the stairs Kamri was the first to see her and jumped up ran towards Meryl.
"Aunt Meryl!"
"Good morning sweetheart."
"Ah there is my Princess. You alright?"
"Yes. I'm fine. Ready for a great day." Meryl kissed Maks and put Kamri back down.
"So Tanith told me about their naps and when they eat. Boy, they sure do take a lot of naps."
"Maks, they are 2."
"I know. I'm a little jealous they get to sleep so much."
"Oh you're Uncle Maks is so silly" she says as she rubs Mason's head. "So what are we going to do with them today?" Meryl asked as she went to eat the pancakes that were still out for her.
"I was thinking we should go to the p.a.r.k."
"Oh that sounds like a good idea."
"You finish eating breakfast and then we go. Does that sound good?"
"Yes. Why don't you get them ready. I'll be done soon."
"Alright. Hey Mason and Kamri. How about we go to the park?"
"Yea!!"
"Let's find our shoes and get ready to go. Aunt Meryl is going to finish eating and then we'll go."
"Maks, you should probably change their diapers first."
"Oh good idea Princess. Come here little man. Let's change you." Maks picked up Mason and went to change his diaper. "Oh wow! That smells!"
All Meryl could do was laugh. She cleaned up her plate and grabbed Kamri. She waled over to Maks just as he was finished with Mason's diaper. "Here I'll trade you. Mason is all done."

"Let's go play little ones!" Meryl and Maks had taken the twins to the park in their neighborhood. They knew they wouldn't get spotted there. They started out on the swings. Meryl pushed Mason and Maks pushed Kamri.
"Slide!" Kamri shouted.
"Alright sweet heart. We can go slide."
"Mason do you want to slide?"
"No!" he said firmly.
"Well alright. You two have fun on the slide. We'll be here swinging." Maks took Kamri off the swing and went over and kissed Meryl and then went to go slide.
Meryl watched Maks with a big smile while he led Kamri around the playground and down the slide. It was so sweet. She was excited about her future with Maks.
"I run please."
"Do you want to get down and run?"
"Yes please."
"Oh what great manners. Of course." Meryl took Mason out of the swing and put him down. He started running in the grass next to the swings. Meryl looked on happily. She then saw Kamri run past her and start chasing Mason. They were giggling and running. She then felt hands wrap around her. She moved his hands so she could hold them.
"They're so adorable aren't they."
"They are. We have the best niece and nephew ever."
"Mhmm, we sure do" Maks said as he kissed her cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Kamri came over and lifted her arms for Meryl to hold her. Meryl picked her up and Kamri put her head on Meryl's shoulder right way.
"I think someone is tired."
Mason came over and Maks picked him up. Mason also put his head on Maks' shoulder.
"Two tired little ones. How about we head home?"
"Good idea." They gathered their things and headed home.

Meryl and Maks took a nap while the twins were napping. After their naps, they all had lunch.
After lunch, Meryl laid out some of her and Maks' old clothes for the twins to dress up in.
"Help please" Kamri said showing Meryl the shirt she wanted on. It was going to be a dress on the little Kamri. Meryl slipped it on her and Kamri spun around in circles.
"I a princess!"
"Yes you are. Let's see your princess dance" Meryl says sitting down on the floor to watch her.
Maks came in carrying Mason after changing his diaper. "Oh look how beautiful you are Kamri."
"I a princess."
"Such a pretty princess. Mason, lets make you look like a prince." Maks grabbed one of his shirts from the floor and put it on Mason. Mason smiled at him and then went to dance with Kamri. "Meryl, lets dance."
Maks stood up and went to turn music on. When it was on, Maks came back over to Meryl and extended his hand to help her up. She took his hand and stood up. Maks pulled her into hold and the danced around the living room.
"Uncle Maks, my turn." Kamri was pulling on Maks' shirt.
"Oh my little princess wants a turn. Sorry Meryl, maybe the prince will dance with you." Maks kisses Meryl and then steps away and picks up Kamri and starts dancing with her.
"Mason do you want to dance with me?" Meryl looks over at Mason who was dancing by himself. He didn't hear her so she just went over and danced next to him. Meryl kept looking over and watching Maks dancing with Kamri with a smile.
"Miss. Kamri, we might have to convince your Daddy and Mommy to put you in dance classes. You are a wonderful dancer.
After dancing with Kamri for a few minutes, he put her back down and went back to dancing with Meryl. The twins were dancing crazily next to each other. A few minutes later, Meryl and Maks noticed that they were the only ones dancing now. Mason had curled up on the couch and fallen asleep and Kamri had fallen asleep on the floor hugging her teddy bear that she was dancing with. Meryl kissed Maks and then went to turn the music down. They danced for a little longer before they went and curled up on the couch and relaxed.
After the second nap, Meryl and Maks put on a movie for the twins. Maks had some work he needed to do and Meryl cleaned up the house a little bit. They then made dinner and enjoyed a living room picnic. Charlie and Tanith arrived to pick up the twins at 7pm.
"Mommy!" Kamri ran into her mom's arms. Tanith picked her up and kissed her.
"I missed you baby. Were you a good girl for Aunt Meryl and Uncle Maks?"
Kamri just smiled at her.
"She was excellent. They both were."
"Thank you so much for watching them."
"We'll do it anytime."
"Alright say goodnight Kamri."
Kamri smiled at Meryl and Maks.
"Night night Kamri" Maks said and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Then he looked at Mason, who was being held by Charlie. "Night night Mason. We had so much fun with you two today."
Meryl kissed the twins and then hugged both Tanith and Charlie good night.

"That was such a fun day Mer." Meryl and Maks were laying in bed relaxing.
"It really was."
"It was really cool to have little ones in the house."
"It was different. I liked it."
"Me too. I um... Would you... I want to have kids Meryl. Would you want to?"
"Maks really?"
"Yes. I've wanted kids for a while but I never had the right person. Now I do and I want to make a baby with you."
"Maks. I love you."
"Mer... do you want to have a baby?"
"Maks... I um..."
"Meryl, we don't have to rush. We can take time."
"Maks..."
"Meryl I love you. Please know I'm not trying to pressure you."
"Maks would you let me finish?"
"Sorry go ahead."
"Maks, I would love to have a baby with you."
"Really?"
"Maks, I wasn't finished."
"Oh sorry. I just..."
"Maks!"
"Sorry."
"Maks. I um... We..."
"Mer..."
"Stop interrupting me! We are much closer to having a baby then you think."
"What?"
"Maks, I'm pregnant."
"Really?" Maks sat up and looked at her.
"Yes!"
Maks kissed her and then sat back up and looked at her belly. He then pulled up her shirt and put a hand on her belly. He smiled and then leaned down and kissed her belly.
"Hi little one. Daddy's here. You're my wish come true. I love you." He sat up and looked at Meryl. "How far along are you?"
"I'm 6 weeks Maks. I went to the doctor the other day and they confirmed it."
"Can we let family know?"
"Of course!"
They called their families who were all extremely excited. The last people they called where Charlie and Tanith.
"Hi Mer, what up? Did we forget something?"
"No, no. We have something to tell you."
"Oh really?"
"Is Tanith with you?"
"Yes I am. You're on speakerphone."
"Great. Well... Maks."
"Meryl is pregnant!"
"I knew it!" Tanith said excitedly.
They shared their excitements and then hung up.
"Maks, should we announce it?"
"Let's wait until tomorrow."
"Mhmm, good idea. I'm tired."
Maks pulled her close and they curled up and fell asleep with smiles on their faces.

"Maks, let's take a picture to post."
Maks laid down next to Meryl and put his head on Meryl's belly. He kissed her belly and took the picture.
"How does this look?"
"I love it!"
"Great, let's post it. You write the message."
"Ok."
Meryl pulled up Instagram and clicked on the picture and started typing.
"Alright Maks this is what I wrote. 'Maks and I have something we want to share with you all. We are expecting our first child. We couldn't be happier. Thank you for all your love and support.' What do you think?"
"It's perfect. Post it."
Meryl hit post and waited for the comments. After a few minuets Meryl saw a post that really made her laugh.
"Maks look what Erin commented. She wrote, 'FINALLY! My wish came true! A Dancing with the Stars baby! Love you both! Congratulations!' She's too funny."
"She's great. Now let's turn off our phones and enjoy a quiet night at home."
