~~3 years later in Hokage's office~~

3rd pov:
It around lunch time and the third Hokage is in his office facing his mortal enemy paperwork. Hiruzen Sarutobi lets out another sigh as he finish signing another thing of paperwork he still not even a third into the endless pile. A knock at the door cought his attention.

Hiruzen-*Quietly speaks*"Enter"

With that black fox the youngest Abmu commander in walk. When he walks in all Abmu members bow to both the Hokage and the young comander before leaving. After they leave the hokage activates the privacy seal for them to talk.

Hiruzen-"Hello Black fox report"

Fox-*kneeling*"The mission was a successful Hokage-sama 57 woman have been rescued and are with there friends and family. The trafficking ring has been destroyed and those running it have all been killed."

Hiruzen-"Well done Fox now about your next mission"

Fox-"What is it Hokage-sama"

Hiruzen-"You are not going to like it I have a new mission for you it's long term I want you to go undercover joining the academy your mission is to protect Sasuke Uchiha for next 3 years and observe Mizuki as he has been acting suspicious.After the academy I will be placing you on a gennin team"

Fox-*whine* "Ahh come on Jijj"

Hiruzen-"No Naruto listen to me I know that the academy isn't the best but I want you to have friends your own age besides your gennin and chunnin years are important as well now listen you don't have to stop your work as Abmu commander but you will have to join a genin team"

Naruto stands infront of the third Hokage he slowly removes his mask. Once his mask is off he shakes his head slowly to loosen his tricolor hair. He looks at Hiruzen with a blank looks he lowers his half face mask and shows he is pouting.

Naruto-*pouting*"Jiji I willing to do the protective mission for you as it involves protecting Itachina little brother and catching a traitor but why must be part of a gennin squad I have so many friends already so many I trust that they know of my Abmu identity and everything"

Jiji-"Naruto-kun you are still so young yet been through so much in your young life more then even me your gennin years are important ifI could go back in relive mine I would as only a few things would beat it for the best tumes"

Naruto-"what would beat your gennin years Jiji"

Hiruzen-"The day I married my wife, the days my kids and grandson were born, and the times I actually can spend with you or my family"

Naruto-*looks shocked*"Jiji I..."

Hiruzen-"Naruto listen I know you don't want to do this especially when you will have to have that mask of yours up more but Itachina asks for you specifically to watch of her kid brother the 'last' Uchiha as she trusts you to keep him safe. As for me I know you had it rough Naruto but I want you to make friends with those your own age and experience the great times of your as a gennin like I had,your grandmother had, your father had, and your mother had when we were on a gennin team"

Naruto-*sighs*"Fine Jiji you win I will do this for you and Itachina-chan but I have a few conditions."

Hiruzen-*smiles*"Of course Naruto what are they"

Naruto-"1) I will not be put on a gennin team with Sasuke or Kakashi 2) I want access to the shinobi library 3) I wish for you to teach me your way with a bow staff and finally 4) being as my bank account has to many zeroes and it's lunch time come with me to Ichiraku's and get some ramen as it is my birthday and I haven't eat lunch yet and you probably haven't either"

Hiruzen-*stomach growls*"Your right Naruto I haven't eaten I have been battling the mortal enemy of all Hokage paperwork for hours now."

Naruto-"You know Jiji I know a way you can get out of paperwork and meetings and still get them done"

Hiruzen-*snaps his head up shocked and with hope*"Really?"

Naruto-"Yes this way you will have more free time to spend with me, your family, and you can read that book you oh so love for some reason"

Hiruzen-*leaps from his chair and grovels at Naruto's feet* "Please Naruto tell me the secret of getting out of cursed paperwork I will do anything"

Naruto-"really anything even help train me in jutsus and taijutsus"

Hiruzen-"Yes yes I swear"

Naruto-" Hmm I don't know"

Hiruzen-*grovels*"Please Naruto"

Naruto-"ok if you join me for lunch and train me at least 3 times a week, spend to with me my birthdays with me from now on, and spend time with your family more I will tell you"

Hiruzen-"Deal it's a deal now please tell"

Naruto-" 2 words Jiji Shadow Clones"

With thoses two words the third Hokage froze in shock. Of course shadow clones was the obvious answer. He couldn't help but laugh at how funny it was. Here was Hiruzen Sarutobi the third known as
the professor of Konoha yet here he was kneeling before a child who at the age of nine solved what four generations of Hokage never could. Why didn't he figure it out himself it took Naruto to tell him. With the Hiruzen created 30 shadow clones he order 15 to do paperwork and the other 15 to attend his meetings.

Hiruzen-"ok Naruto let's go to get Ichiraku's for ramen"

Naruto-"right let's go I will meet you their"

With that Naruto put his mask back on. Hiruzen takes down the privacy seal Naruto then leaves out of the Hokage's office. As he walks past Hiruzen's personal guards who powers to him out of respect as he walks by and continues until he is out of site. The abmu members then re-enters the Hokage's office to see 15 clones sitting doing paper work and the original with some gifts he got for Naruto's birthday. With that Hiruzen heads to spend the day with Naruto for his 9th birthday.
